ACTIVITY 1

Erica Joy D. Santiago

BSC-III
Forensic Chemistry and Toxicology

Problem: Broken window.

Data: I walk to the school’s laboratory to pick up my things that were left behind.
when I reached lab, and entered the room i noticed the hole in the window and
several plants lying on floor from the window ledge. Upon closer inspection, I
notice several things:  the object that created the hole in the window is not there,
a footprint is in the dirt next to one of the fallen flowers, a little bit of what looks
like blood is dripping on the broken glass in the window along with a torn
fragment of cloth, on another piece of glass there are fingerprints and a pile of
dirt that is not like the dirt found in the other plant pots.
Hypothesis: My First hypothesis was: Someone wants to steal stuff inside the lab.
The Second hypothesis was: Someone accidentally broke the window. The Third
hypothesis was: Someone had a fight near the lab and they broke the window.

Experiments: I searched around the lab room for what could be a possible object
that created the hole in the window. But I could not find anything. Then I took a
photo of every usable evidence connected to the incident. I took the blood that
was left in the window and the fingerprints, to locate who may be the culprit in
the incident.
Conclusion: In conclusion someone broke the window because he wants to steal
something inside the lab he broke the window using a stone and throw it
somewhere. In his haste he scratched the sharp part of the window leaving blood
and a piece of his clothes.
