The document summarizes the current practices for material, tool, and human resource allocation for maintenance activities across different systems at a hospital. It is organized by department, with mechanical engineering overseeing HVAC and fire protection maintenance, and electrical engineering overseeing electrical distribution. Outsourced generators and incinerators are checked daily by in-house staff. Materials, tools, and staff are sometimes shared between systems, which can cause delays if multiple systems require maintenance simultaneously. Overall maintenance seems to be conducted properly given it is for a healthcare facility.

Other materials are outsourcing Current practice of existing material, tool, and man-power allocation In that hospital there have three departments for carry out the maintenance activities. They are electrical engineering department, mechanical engineering department and housekeeping department. HVAC system and fire protection and detection system’s maintenance activities are conducted under the supervision of mechanical engineer of mechanical engineering department. Electrical distribution system’s maintenance activities are conducted under the supervision of mechanical engineer of the mechanical engineering department. Those system’s maintenance activities are doing by above table’s mentioned person such as electricians, technicians etc. On the other hand, they outsource the generator’s maintenance, but they employed two electricians to daily checking of the generator. Also, incinerator’s maintenance is done by outsourcing company as generator but there have workers from housekeeping department for daily maintenance of incinerator. When considering this, it is an efficient thing having a three department for carry out the maintenance activities. In water distribution system, currently they have some highly necessary materials, equipment and tools but all the materials, equipment and tools are not stored in the hospital and they buy those things when its necessity. As the example bends, tee taps, tapes thread seals like that. In maintenance of HVAC system, some tools and equipment used by them are also used in maintenance of the Fire Protection / detection system and Electrical distribution system. Because of that they said that if those tools and equipment use for maintenance of one system, another system maintenance does not conduct in that time. It shows there has no proper tools and equipment allocation plan for the maintenance. That can be get as a negative aspect. Because if two systems have failure in one time, they have not enough tools and equipment for their maintenance. On the other hand, they have four members included three teams. It consists of carpenter, engineer, plumber and technician. They work in eight hours shift on the day. Because of that there have always one team any time of the day for maintenance activities of any system. It can get as appositive aspect. When considering about all over the maintenance of that building, it is ongoing properly because of that building is a hospital and they provide healthcare facility.
