Introduction
 Ballerina is a 2016 film directed by Eric Summer and Eric Warin. It is a story of an
orphan dreaming to be a ballerina.

II. Summary of the story

 Felicie is an orphan in Brittany alongside with her best friend Victor. Felicie dreams to
become a ballerina while Victor dreams to become an inventor. They escape the
orphanage in Brittany and come into Paris but she and Victor got separated. She got
caught when she entered the Opera but stumbled into the cleaner named Odette and offer
to help. While cleaning, Felicie discovers Camille dancing then she enters the room and
had an argument with Camille and Camille threw her ballerina music box. When she got
the music box there is a mailman who enter to give a letter to Camiile but Felicie stole it
and use it to enter the opera. When in the opera she stumbled upon the Director which is
the one teaching them to dance. She hide when she saw Odette near and meet Rudolf
inside the room and when she got out, Odette caught her. Felicie explained to Odette that
she really likes to dance she decided to train Felicie. One day, Felicie and Victor went to
a bar and they celebrate when they are on their way home because the Director praised
her. When they got home, Regine knew that Felicie stole her daughter's identity and used
Camille's pass to the opera. When they confronted the Director, he decided that the both
of them should stay and compete for the role of Clara. The day before the competition,
Felicie got distracted and decided not to train and come with Rudolf. She got late and
Camille got the role so she went back to the orphanage because of Regine. The head of
the orphanage decided to bring her back in the opera. When she was back, she had a
showdown with Camille and she was chosen to have the role in the Nutcracker. Regine
was planning to destroy Felicie but Victor saved her and she made it to the venue and
danced the way she dreamed of.

III. Analysis of the plot elements

 The rising action is when Odette trained her to become graceful. Every day she trained,
the better she got. Everyone she trained with already left and she was the one left to train.
 The climax is that Regine find out that Felicie stole the letter for Camille and Felicie used
it to enter the opera. Regine protested

IV. Creative elements

 The dialogues are good because it can be easy to understand and very well said. The
colors, mood, tone and everything fit well. And the graphics are good because it is close
to being real like the shadows. The sounds that they used were also beautiful and flow
along the scene. The characters really did a good job portraying their roles. The voices
also fit well with the character given to them.

V. Opinion
 I really like the movie because I think that the story is really beautiful and not only for
kids but also for teenagers. Dancers can also relate to this even if ballet was not their cup
of tea. I feel proud of Felicie for achieving what she dreamed of. Another thing that
caught my attention is I feel that the Director likes Odette and that makes me ship them.
Another thing that I want is the support everyone gives to Felicie. When Victor always
listen to her, when Odette trained her, when she failed but the Director let her have
another chance.

VI. Conclusion
 The filmmaker did a very good job on doing the movie. I think they want to show that
dreams really do come true and through the movie, Felicie showed her hard work on
achieving her dream. Not only Felicie, but Victor also because he also achieved his
dream to become an inventor. It shows that everyone can achieve their dream even if you
did not come from a wealthy family. Dreams do not have any limitation that few people
can have because it is for everyone. It also shows that even if there is someone bringing
you down, there is someone who will always support you and will stay beside you. The
film shows many lessons that can be learned if the watchers of it will dip deeper into the
story which makes me praise the filmmaker because it was such a good movie.
