Discrimination is one of the big problem of our society and an example of discrimination is with
the LGBT. And discrimination is the main problem in this movie. Benjamin Button is a proof that
you can't live a normal life if you are different from others because you will experience
discrimination from the people that doesn't know your situation. Most people around Benjamin
doesn't know about his disability so they treated him as a old man. They assumed that
Benjamin is an old man because of how he is born. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button shows
discrimination because the way they questioned him about his appearance and age.

The way his father rejected him because of his appearance when he was a baby. Base on the
movie, Benjamin Button was discriminated by his look when he was born by his father that's
why he left Benjamin in front of elder house. It clearly shows that when he saw his son
Benjamin, he can’t accept that is his son’s appearance that’s why he find another parents who
can adopt his son. Benjamin’s foster father can’t accept him at first but Queenie accepted him
as her own son. One Saturday night, his mama Queenie brought him to church for him to walk
properly but then when the pastor asked about his age they laughed at him. The people at the
church obviously didn’t believe his age because he looks like an old guy.

Next is when he volunteered to be a boat man , an elder beside him questioned him about his
strength. He thinks that he can't handle the work base on his appearance. He thinks that he is
an elderly who can’t carry heavy things. Benjamin answered that he can do it but he didn't tell
him about his condition. The Captain of the tugboat hesitated to accept him, but then he said
yes.

But then, when he met Daisy, he fell in love with her. Daisy accepted him despite of his
appearance because in Daisy’s perspective, Benjamin is not an old man like her grandmother.
They might be separated for a meantime but they met again one day. When they met they
loved each other and they have a child named Caroline. When Caroline knew that his real
father is that Benjamin she can’t accept it

In conclusion there are some people we cannot please, we just need to accept who we are and
be proud of it. Our flaws doesn’t mean that you and us are different from each other.
Everybody have flaws and some of us use that as a strength. Some people will not appreciate us
and will not like us but it doesn’t define who we are. The person needs to accept who you are is
you yourself. Because if you accept and believe in yourself you can be as strong as everybody.
Flaws doesn’t define us and sometimes it help us to grow more stronger.
