3. Another advantage of EIA lies in its role in formulating development actions.

Development actions
can be understood as projects which may contribute to the improvement of the wellbeing of the
society, or job creation, etc. When they are formulated, they pass through different stages such as
conception, feasibility, site selection, design, etc. with this in mind can you elaborate how EIA can help
in the formulation of development actions?

Projects have a big impact on the people who live in the area. A lack of comprehension of the local
society and its ideas could lead to development with significant negative implications. More importantly,
there may be a misalignment of interests between project proponents and the local populace. Public
participation in the planning phase is critical to the project's success.

The EIA is an excellent venue for ensuring that impacted parties have been properly consulted and that
their opinions have been taken into account during project development. An EIA's goal is to enhance
projects, which can only be accomplished by incorporating those who are directly or indirectly affected
by the project. New information will be revealed as a result of the public input, which will improve
knowledge and allow better decisions to be taken. Legitimate concerns may not be heard without
consultation, resulting in conflict and unsustainable behavior. Not only should the community be
consulted, but it should also be actively involved in environmental issues. The sooner the public gets
involved, the better. This should ideally happen before a development proposal is finalized. It's an
important aspect of good scoping because it's at this point that feedback has the most impact. Although
it is necessary to share information, public consultation is likely to decline as the EIA continues.

It is possible to develop an Environmental Impact Statement by listening to public ideas and suggestions
(EIS). The most popular method for allowing public input is open public meetings. As we all know, every
proposed project is intended to improve the quality of life in the society in which it is to be executed.
EIA can aid in this process by identifying areas where a project's negative environmental consequences
should be reduced or eliminated entirely. EIA can assist in determining the sensitivity of the planned
project's chosen site. It can lessen local opposition by holding meetings and discussions in order to avoid
unrestricted public inquiries. It has the potential to instill or improve hope among project stakeholders.
It can aid in the smooth planning process and protect us from unnecessary expenses. It's also a way to
deal with cross-sectoral and cross-border concerns. EIA is more efficient and effective if implemented as
early as possible during the project planning phase, as it will aid in identifying potential significant
environmental issues, grading effects, identifying actual significant environmental issues, and
recommending further action such as mitigation measures.
