2-1 Warranty
This clause constitutes the stipulations under whic h the Claimant may claim reimbursement
from TIQ for costs of repairs covered by the warranty.
This Warranty Policy stipulates the terms of basic rules between the Claimant and TIQ, on
the scope of Warranty Repairs, Warranty Conditions, Service C ampaign repairs,
procedures for claiming reimbursement for repairs covered by the warranty, and other matters
concerning the warranty. The Claimant is required to adhere to all terms of these provisions
whenever submitting a claim to TIQ for reimbursement of costs of repairs covered by the
warranty.
The Claimant is required to note that the cost for the following items is not covered by the
warranty.
(1) Any correction, repair, completion or replacement needed on any component part for
vehicle assembly or parts production due to shortage in supply, miss -build
or malfunction of the component which is discovered and rectified before the
final inspection upon completion of assembly or production.
(2) Any correction, repair, completion or replacement needed on any Vehicles or Parts
due to miss-build, shortage or incorrect specification of Vehicles or Parts which is
caused by any mistake in placing the order for the Vehicle or Parts.
TOYOTA IRAQ
With regard to Warranty Repair(s) on a Vehicle, the Claimant is required to study and
investigate the defect thoroughly to determine whether it is attributable to something for
which Toyota should assume responsibility.
(1) The Claimant is required to note that it may not claim reimbursement from TIQ for
Warranty Repair costs in case of troubles that are clearly established as attributable
to “special repair”; subject, however, to any applicable product responsibility terms
agreed among the relevant parties concerned. In such a case (and where no
contrary product responsibility terms apply), the Claimant is requested either to
assume the liability for repair costs or to settle the matter with the “repair shop”.
(2) If the cause of a trouble is so complex that the party or parties responsible cannot be
clearly established, the Claimant shall inform TIQ of the trouble in question in detail
and the two shall subsequently hold consultations to determine the extent of liability
to be taken by the respective party concerned.
TOYOTA IRAQ
Claimant may not claim reimbursement from TIQ for warranty repair costs in case of
troubles to attributable to Dealers local procurement parts (except supply parts from
TIQ).
TOYOTA IRAQ
(a) Warranty Repair coverage shall be limited to the repair costs (parts and/or
labor) incurred in duly rectifying a defect for which Toyota may be held
responsible.
(b) The Distributor shall make every effort to perform the Warranty Repair at
minimum cost to Toyota.
In Warranty Repairs, the scope of the repair costs claimable from TIQ is limited to the costs
of parts and labor, and the following requirements must be satisfied.
○ The repairs must be for troubles attributable to a fault for which Toyota is responsible.
○ The repairs must be performed using proper repair procedures.
(1) In accordance with the stipulations of this clau se, troubles for which Toyota shall not
be held responsible under the stipulations of Chapter 4 of Section I are not included
within the scope of Warranty Repairs.
(2) Also, costs incurred due to erroneous diagnosis or to improper repair procedures, as
well as costs of replacing any still-usable parts, shall not be covered by the warranty.
(3) Since Toyota recognizes the validity of sublet repair work within specified limitations,
costs incurred for such work may be covered by Warranty Repairs.
TOYOTA IRAQ
(a) The warranty period of any warranty policy item, the hourly warranty labor
rate and the parts reimbursement rate shall be decided by TIQ on the
basis the Claimant's application. The result shall be communicated to the
Claimant by means of the Warranty Conditions Form provided for
elsewhere.
(b) When the ownership of a Vehicle changes from the original purchaser to
each subsequent purchaser, the unexpired term of the warranty period in
item (a) above shall belong to the subsequent purchaser.
There are three basic items referred to by Warranty Conditions, namely; THE WARRANTY
PERIOD, THE HOURLY WARRANTY LABOR RATE AND THE PARTS REIMBURSEMENT
RATE used in performing Warranty Repairs.
These items shall be determined by TIQ based on each Claimant's application for warranty
coverage, and shall be communicated to the Claimant through the "Warranty Conditions
Form".
It is important to note that the warranty period stipulated in the Toyota Warranty Booklet is
valid even when the owner of the Vehicle changes. The following paragraphs explain the
warranty conditions in detail.
TOYOTA IRAQ
(a) The warranty period is stipulated as the number of months elapsed or the
distance a Vehicle has traveled since the Delivery Date. The war ranty period
shall expire either on the date a Vehicle has attained the stipulated number of
months elapsed or on the date it has attained the stipulated distance traveled,
whichever comes first.
(a) The hourly warranty labor rate ("Hourly Warranty Labor Rate") is the rate that
TIQ shall pay to the Claimant for the Warranty Repair labor performed.
When Warranty Repairs are done, the amount paid shall be obtained by
multiplying the Hourly Warranty Labor Rate by Toyota Flat Rate Time required
for specific repair work.
TOYOTA IRAQ
(
SECTION I WARRANTY POLICY Page
(a) In principle, the cost of parts for Warranty Repair to be paid by TIQ to a
Claimant shall be limited to the Actual Cost the Dealer has paid to TIQ at the time
of purchasing the required spare parts for the Warranty Repair.
TOYOTA IRAQ
(d) When circumstances beyond one's control require that Warranty Repairs
be done at a place other than provided for under item ( c) above, the work
shall be regarded as Warranty Repair pending the approval of TIQ
(e) The warranty repair for the failure found by usual service shall be
performed after obtaining the Customer ’s approval.
Under the stipulations of item 9-2 (Issuance of Warranty Booklet) of Section I, the Dealer shall
issue a Warranty Booklet to the Vehicle's original purchaser, this constitutes the
certificate of warranty covering the new Vehicle. The issuance of this booklet shall constitute a
promise by the Dealer to the purchaser that the former will satisfy the terms of the warra nty as
described in the Warranty Booklet, When requested by a customer holding a Warranty Booklet
to undertake Warranty Repairs the Distributor is, therefore, obliged to undertake the necessary
repairs as stipulated in the Warranty Booklet without delay.
TOYOTA IRAQ
The warranty applied to a Vehicle is, in principle, only valid within the Territory
where the Vehicle has been originally imported and retailed.
Vehicles and Parts are produced under precise qua lity control standards to comply with every
regulatory and environmental requirement for vehicle operation in the Territory where the
Vehicles are distributed.
Accordingly, relocation of Vehicles to outside the original Territory could cause inconsistency
in vehicle specifications and requirements, and cause unexpected problems to customers and
Distributors.
Therefore, in principle, the warranty shall not apply to Vehicles relocated, sold or resold
outside the Territory where the Vehicles were originally sold. (Continued on next page.)
TOYOTA IRAQ
Notwithstanding item 2-6 of this section, the Dealer shall perform Warranty
Repairs on a Vehicle under the follo wing conditions:
(b) Case of a customer who has moved or relocated from another Territory.
The Warranty Repair shall be performed when the Vehicle in question is
ensured to comply with all the regulatory and environmental requirements
in operation in the new Territory, and in accordance with the conditions
applied to the new Territory.
The Dealer in the new Territory shall implement the following steps when
applying warranty to the Vehicle in question:
(i) Explain to the customer how the Warranty Conditions of the new
Territory differ from the customer's orig inal Territory.
As stipulated in item 2-6 of this section, the warranty applied to a Vehicle is, in
principle, only valid within the Territory where the Vehicle has been originally
imported and retailed.
Therefore, when a Distributor, Dealer, customer or any party other than Toyota
moves, sells or resells a Vehicle to or in a Territory other than the original
Territory, every warranty applying to the Vehicle in the original Territory is
regarded as expired and void, unless Toyota instructs otherwise.
TOYOTA IRAQ
2-9 Warranty for Vehicles Sold by Toyota without Going through Distributor
(a) When Vehicles have been imported into a Territory by other than normal
Distributor route due to direct or indirect sales by Toyota to United Nations
organizations, governments, large fleet customers and the like, the
Distributor in the Territory shall provide warranty coverage f or the Vehicle
in question in accordance with the Warranty Policy whenever Toyota
requests it.
(1) Upon the conclusion of a sales contract, including the terms of warranty, with a large
fleet customer such as in the examples mentioned above, Toyota will notify the
Distributor in the relevant Territory of this effect and will request it to undertake
after-sale services, including Pre-Delivery Inspection of the new Vehicles involved.
(2) The Distributor in that Territory shall, upon request from Toyota, issue Warranty
Booklets to the customer.
(3) The warranty coverage of the said Vehicles shall comply with the conditions in effect in
the said Territory, unless Toyota advises otherwise.
TOYOTA IRAQ
In the event that a defect develops in any of the major assemblies mentioned
below, the Warranty Repair work shall be performed by replacing or repairing
defective component parts only. However, when replacement of an assembly
itself is deemed advisable, the costs may be claimed when detailed reasons
for the replacement are furnished.
The basic rule of Warranty Repairs is to repair or replace faulty component parts only.
However, when the replacement of a whole assembly is deemed desirable, the Claimant may
claim reimbursement for such a replacement with detailed explanation of the reasons.
(2) When the repair cost for replacing a whole assembly is less than that for replacing
component parts
In the following cases, the warranty coverage shall not extend to the replacement of an
assembly.
(1) When an assembly is replaced because the component parts are out of stock
In the event that a defect develops in one of the f ront/rear and right/left side
symmetrical parts mentioned below, the Warranty Repair work shall not be
performed by replacing or repairing all symmetrical parts simultaneously.
However, when replacement of all symmetrical parts is deemed advisable, the
costs may be claimed when detailed reasons for the replacement are
furnished.

and so on.
The basic rule of Warranty Repairs is to repair or replace the faulty parts only. However, when the
simultaneous replacement of all or parts other than those failed listed under item 3-2 above is
deemed advisable, the Claimant may claim reimbursement for such replacement with the detailed
explanation of the reasons for the replacement in the space marked “Dealer’s comment” on the
TWC Form.
TOYOTA IRAQ
3-3 Tires
(b) When the tire and tube manufacturer involved is represented in the
Territory, the claim shall be handled in accordance with the warranty
policy of the respective representative.
(c) Notwithstanding items (a) and (b) above, TIQ shall handle the
warranty in either of the below-listed cases.
(i) When the tire and tube manufacturer involved is not represented in
the Territory
The warranty on tires or tubes shall be handled by the service network of the tire and tube
manufacturer. When a customer wishes to file a clai m on tires or tubes, therefore, the
Dealer is required to request the representative for the tire manufacturer concerned in its
Territory to process the claim.
In such a case, if the said tire dealer should refuse to handle the claim or if an irreconcilable
disagreement should develop between the Dealer and the tire dealer over claim assessment,
the Dealer is asked to inform TIQ of the matter in dispute in detail. TIQ will contact the
manufacturer to settle the matter.
TOYOTA IRAQ
3-4 Battery
1. Reimbursement
A part of the repair cost may not be reimbursed according to the Warranty Condition Form ,
which is published by TIQ otherwise.
Recurrence claim of local procured battery shall be handled in accordance with the warranty
policy of the respective battery representative.
Therefore, the repair cost cannot be covered by the TMC.
TOYOTA IRAQ
3-5 Towing
When Vehicle is inoperative due to a warranted part failure, the cost of towing
service to the nearest authorized dealership shall be cov ered.
The warranty shall cover towing charges to the nearest dealership when the following conditions are
met.
(1) Towing expenses are incurred, as a result of a warrantable failure and the Vehicle owner is
not entitled to reimbursement from any other source.
(2) Reimbursement is limited to normal retail towing charges to the nearest authorized
dealership. Should the towing charge exceed the amount of USD 120.—prior written
approval from TIQ is required.
(3) Reimbursement for towing expenses and related Warranty Repair costs for parts and labor
must be requested on the same warranty claim.
(4) If there is no authorized dealership reasonably available nearby, towing service to the
nearest another automotive service provider shall be covered.
Towing charges for the return of the Vehicle to the customer shall not be covered by the warranty.
TOYOTA IRAQ
The warranty shall not cover damage incurred during marine and overland transit and
accompanying storage, or troubles attributable to such damage.
(1) Should such damage or trouble occur, the Dealer is requested to establish the party
or parties responsible and undertake complete repairs and restoration of affected
Vehicles with the responsible party or parties bearing the costs.
(2) The Dealer should also keep a record of the detailed description of the damaged
Vehicles and the nature of the repairs for fut ure reference. It should be noted that
TIQ or TMC does not extend warranty coverage to defects caused by inadequate
repair work on such Vehicles.
(3) It is possible that depending on the extent of damage incurred, it may not be fit for
sale as a new product even after complete repairs and restoration. In such case, the
Dealer is expected to exercise professional integrity in its handling of the sale of the
Vehicle.
TOYOTA IRAQ
The warranty shall not cover troubles caused by failure to maintain and care
properly for pre-delivery Vehicles while in storage.
The Dealer may not claim reimbursement from TIQ for the costs of repairs of troubles
attributable to lack of proper maintenance and care of pre -delivery Vehicles or to improper
maintenance and care of the same. The Dealer should repair such troubles at its own expense
without demanding reimbursement for the repair costs from customers. The Dealer is
requested to observe the pre-delivery Vehicle storage procedure described under item 9-5
of Section I.
Changes in the quality of the paint and external parts on a Vehicle with the passage of
time is inevitable due to their exposure to direct sunlight, high temperatures, high
humidity, cold air and wind and rain, as well as to dust and various pollutants including
industrial wastes.
Failure to carry out proper maintenance of the paint work and external parts (such as
cleaning and waxing) will invariably result in deterioration of their quality. Given this
situation, it is not feasible to include among the warranty coverage items possible
changes in quality and deterioration of paint and external parts with time due to an
extended storage period.
For this reason, in case where a failure occurred on a long -term-storage pre-delivery or
brand new (e.g. 3 months after delivery) Vehicle is deemed to be attributable to lack or
impropriety of maintenance or care during its pre -delivery storage, the Dealer is
nevertheless obliged to bear the cost of repair.
TOYOTA IRAQ
(a) The warranty shall not cover costs of inspection, adjustment, parts
replacement and the like in connection with pre -delivery and periodic
maintenance service items, when no defective parts are involved.
The costs of operations such as inspection, adjustments and parts replacement, but excluding
operations involving defective parts, according to instructions in the Pre -Delivery Service and
Maintenance Procedures Manual or Owner's Manual issued by Toyota shall not be covered by
the warranty. This is because these operations are essential for allowing customers to operate
their Vehicle with confidence and are, as such, considered to be part of routine maintenance
service. The warranty coverage also shall not extend to troubles attributa ble to improper
pre-delivery service and periodic maintenance service, or to neglect of the same. In such
cases, the Dealer is required to note that the repair costs of troubles resulting from the neglect
of periodic maintenance service shall be borne by the customers while those of troubles
resulting from improper inspection shall be borne by the Dealer. When undertaking
Warranty Repairs, therefore, the Dealer is advised to check that the trouble is not attributable
to a neglect or improper implementation of periodic maintenance service.
TOYOTA IRAQ
The warranty shall cover neither accident repair nor trouble arising from
accidents, error, misuse, abuse, negligence, ignorance, careless handling, or
improper storage and the like.
The warranty coverage shall not extend to repairs of damage for which Toyota cannot be held
responsible, or to troubles attributable to accident, misuse, abuse, negligence, ignorance,
mishandling or improper storage and the like. Troubles covered by the Toyota warranty are
limited to those that occur during normal use due to cause for which Toyota can be held
responsible. The Dealer is requested to advise customers on proper ways of operating and
otherwise handling their Vehicles according to the respective Owner's Manual.
(3) Overloading
(4) Vehicle operation and handling against instructions of the Owner's Manual
2. Glass
Any trouble arising from modifications, equipping of parts or devices, and body
fittings, which have been undertaken by other than Toyota, shall not be
covered by the warranty.
Vehicles are designed and manufactured under strict quality control conditions to comply with
the statutes and regulations as well as to suit the operating conditions, the environment and
customs of the respective marketing Territories. Toyota, therefore, does not vouch for any
modifications and fittings made on Vehicles by other than Toyota after they lea ve the factory.
Toyota for the same reason does not extend warranty coverage to troubles resulting from
modification of Vehicles, installation of parts and devices or body fittings undertaken by other
than Toyota.
1. When a customer requests Warranty Repa irs and it becomes evident that
modifications or fittings have been made on the faulty part and/or related parts, it is
essential that the Dealer ascertain whether or not the trouble resulted from the
modifications or fittings and establish the party responsible for the cause of the
trouble. The question of how the warranty should be handled in the case of a trouble
found to have resulted from the same should be settled between the customer and
the party undertaking the modification or fitting work.
The warranty shall not cover the following Maintenance Service ordinarily
required with Vehicle use when no defective parts are involved.
The warranty coverage shall not extend to the items listed in the above stipulation, which are
maintenance service items required routinely in the course of Vehicle use, except in cases
where faulty parts in terms of material or workmanship are involved. The Dealer is requested to
take note that the costs incurred in these operations shall be borne by customers.
1. Vehicle Maintenance for Paint and External Parts under Severe Operating
Conditions
When a Vehicle is to be operated and maintained under severe conditions such as those
in areas where rock salt is used or areas affected by environmental pollution, it will be
essential to adopt suitable measures to prevent quality deterioration in the environmental
conditions involved. In such markets, it is necessary to advise a customer on
maintenance matters such as rustproofing treatment and the need for frequent servicing
of the Vehicle.
TOYOTA IRAQ
(a) Repairs in which other than Toyota Parts are used as replacement parts
shall not be covered by the warranty.
(b) Any trouble arising from the use of other than Toyota Parts
shall not be covered by the warranty.
In undertaking repairs of a trouble, the Dealer has an obligation to guarantee the quality of the
repair work whether or not it is covered by the warranty. In this regard, the use of Toyota Parts
is all the more essential since the use of other than Toyota Parts may result in early recurrence
of the trouble and, hence, in damage to Toyota's reputation.
TOYOTA IRAQ
(a) The following parts shall not be covered by the warranty when they are
replaced as a maintenance service ordinarily required with the Vehicle
use.
(b) Notwithstanding item (a) above, other than for fuel the warranty shall
cover any replacement and replenishment considered necessary to the
performance of Warranty Repairs.
The warranty coverage shall not extend to parts and materials listed under item 4-8, which are
considered expendable items, when they are replaced in the course of routine maintenance
service required for Vehicle use. However, the stipulation of item 4 -8 shall not apply to cases
in which these parts are replaced as a result of a clearly discernible defect in material or
workmanship. When replacement of these parts or the replenishment of oil or other liquid, with
the exception of fuel, is required in the course of Warranty Repairs, the cost of replacement or
replenishment may be claimed for reimbursement from TIQ.
TOYOTA IRAQ
The warranty shall not cover expenses and loss es sustained in connection
with Warranty Repairs such as telephone, accommodations, car rental, travel
and business or time lost.
The scope of warranty coverage is limited to the costs of Parts and labor required for repairing
troubles properly. In other words, costs and losses incidental to the implementation of
Warranty Repairs, including telephone bills, hotel bills, car rental fees and other transportation
costs, business-related losses and time loss, shall be borne by the customer.
TOYOTA IRAQ
When TIQ or TMC judges that maintenance steps are needed to prevent the occurrence of a
serious trouble, it will request the Dealer to inspect or repair Vehicles either in stock or already
sold, or to replace a given part. In such case, the Dealer shall perform such inspection repair or
replacement without delay according to written instructions from TIQ. Costs related to such
inspection, repair or replacement will be considered as Warranty Repairs, and payment
will be made following submission of the TWC Form on SECTION II Warranty Claim
Procedures, page 4-10 to 4-14. The criteria of service campaign are shown in the table on

It is required that all standard rules be observed in the administration of warranty business and
services. If the Warranty Policy is not complied with, confusion and great delays in warranty
service and administrative work may result.
TOYOTA IRAQ
The Warranty Booklet is a type of bond that indicates the obligations that a purchaser of a
Vehicle must observe in order to be eligible to receive Warranty Repairs. It also stipulates the
warranty period, as well as the contents and all conditions of the warranty.
When a customer requests Warranty Repairs, the Warranty Booklet also becomes a document
for judging and verifying the appropriateness of performance of such repairs, for instance, by
means of a review of the periodic inspections performed to date on the Vehicle.
The Dealer shall issue a Warranty Booklet when delivering a Vehicle to a customer, after first
entering correctly in the booklet all requisite information.
TOYOTA IRAQ
The Dealer shall perform a complete and appropriate inspection and maintenance of
Vehicles prior to their sale, according to the following Pre-Delivery Storage procedure. The
aims of such inspection and maintenance are, among others, to prevent any deterioration with
time in a Vehicle’s paint finish or external parts, thereby maintaining the Vehicle in ex -factory
quality condition. Especial care should be given to the inspection and maintenance of Vehicles
stored for lengthy periods and those stored outdoors.
Passenger car
3.0 kg/cm2 (43 psi)

Servicing and inspection of the Vehicle shall be performed at least once a month as
follows:
(a) Check and maintain proper tire inflation pressure.
(b) Run the engine at less than 1,500 rpm for at least 15 minutes.
(c) Move the Vehicle to prevent tire flat spots.
(d) Inspect the electrolyte, and fill and charge the battery.
(e) Inspect all painted and plated surfaces for rust, and remove any rust found. If the
Vehicle is stored outdoors, wax the areas after removing the rust.
(f) If any substance likely to harm painted or plated surfaces is found adhering to
them, wash with plain water to remove, and wax afterward, if necessary.
(1) For repairs attributable to faulty materials or workmanship for which Toyota is
responsible on a new Vehicle in storage, the Dealer may claim payment from TIQ as
a pre-sold Vehicle claim in accordance with procedures st ipulated in SECTION
II.
(2) If any other troubles are found on a new Vehicle in storage, the Dealer should clarify
responsibility for them and act accordingly.
TOYOTA IRAQ
The Dealer shall perform at its own expense the pre -delivery service and
adjustment of a Vehicle in accordance with the Toyota Pre-Delivery
Service Procedures.
The Dealer shall inspect and adjust all new Vehicles in accordance with the Pre-Delivery
Service and Maintenance Procedures Manual issued separately by Toyota, prior to its delivery
to the customer that the Vehicle is in the best condition and offers the best performance
possible. The Distributor shall not charge the expenses of this inspection to TIQ.
Costs of Pre-Delivery Service shall be borne by the the Dealer, not by TIQ. However, any
cost of repair of defective conditions caused by inferior quality of materials or defects in
workmanship for which Toyota shall be held responsible and which are discovered
at the time of the inspection, can be charged to TIQ in accordance with the
procedures stipulated in SECTION II.
The Dealer is requested to prepare record sheets best suited to its own use, referring to
the standard Pre-Delivery Service Sheet shown on the following page. A person
conducting an inspection shall enter all results on the sheet, sign and keep it in his/her
custody throughout the period stipulated in item 9 -8 of Section I.
TOYOTA IRAQ
(a) The Dealer shall inspect and service the Vehicle in accordance with the
times and items listed in the customer's Owner's Manual or Maintenance
Note.
(b) Other than for cost of lubricants and other necessary parts which may be
charged to the customer, the Dealer shall bear the cost of any free periodic
maintenance services.
(1) The Dealer shall explain fully the importance of periodic maintenance services to the
customer at the time of delivery of a Vehicle. Also, in order to carry out the
periodic maintenance services, customer follow-up system should be pursued
vigorously to induce the customer to bring the Vehicle in for maintenance. Toyota will
not bear repair expenses for trouble caused by neglect of periodic maintenance
services.
(2) As will be discussed later, the expenses required for conducting any free periodic
maintenance services shall be borne by the Dealer. Even if the Vehicle was sold by a
different Dealer, when a customer requests a free periodic maintenance service it
shall be conducted.
The Dealer, after completion of a period maintenance service, shall enter the date of
service and mileage correctly in the proper spaces in the Periodic Maintenance Service
Record contained in the Warranty Booklet. It should then be signed by the person
responsible for the service and returned to the customer.
TOYOTA IRAQ
The Dealer shall keep the original documents for the following records and
store warranty replaced parts f or the respective period of time indicated below
so as to be ready to furnish them promptly to TIQ or TMC should the latter
so request.
In proof of the Warranty Repairs performed, the Dealer shall conform to the following
guidelines for the retention of records related to Warranty Repairs. Also, when T I Q or
TMC asks to review or be sent such records, the Dealer shall comply without delay.
(1) The Warranty Registration Card and the Owner Status Change Card are important
means of verifying the propriety of Warranty Repairs, and they can be used
effectively, e.g. in encouraging customers to bring their cars in for period ic
inspections, thus helping to improve customer retention. Also, they are
indispensable for customer contact in such cases as service campaigns, as
described in item 5-1 of Section I.
(2) The Warranty Registration Card for the original purchaser should be retained for five
years, filed by vehicle identification number and other means of identification in such
a way that it can be referred to easily. TIQ and the Dealer should each maintain
copies.
TOYOTA IRAQ
The relevant records shall be revised in accordance with the Owner Status Change
Card which will be retained by stapling on the upper part of the Warranty
Registration Card for the original purchaser.
Note: It is desirable that the Dealer retain apart from the registration cards
required above, for an appropriate period, the records of vehicle identification
number, Delivery Date and the name and address of the customer, through
any appropriate means, including a computer information storage device or
a card filing system related to the above mentioned customer retention
activities, or others.
The period of retention of these records should be fixed by TIQ in
consideration of and in compliance with local laws, local conditions,
availability or non-availability of registration information through public
organizations, and so forth. It is desirable that the record maintenance system
is fixed in such a manner that the customer of any Vehicle may be contacted
up to five years after its Delivery Date.
TOYOTA IRAQ
(1) The Pre-Delivery Service Sheet is a certification t hat the Vehicle concerned
underwent the regular Pre-Delivery Service prior to its delivery to the customer, and

(2) This sheet shall be retained for one year from the date of the Pre-Delivery Service,
in such a manner that the order or the vehicle identification numbers shall be easily
indexed. However, in case local law requires record retention for more than one year,
the records shall be retained accordingly.
3. Warranty Repair Order Sheet, Outside Repair Invoice, Warranty Claim Adjustment
Request Form and TWC Form
(1) These are the original vouchers on which claims for Warranty Repair work are based.
They are also important in verifying the propriety of claims for Warranty Repa ir work.
The Dealers's copy of the Toyota Warranty Claim Form (TWC Form) is important for
reference in communications with T I Q and for verification against any Warranty
Claim Settlement Report for Warranty Repair work, or other purposes.
(2) These vouchers shall be numbered so as to make their cross reference to each other
possible, and shall be retained for five years. It is desired that the numbering index
makes reference easy, as TIQ or TMC refers to warranty claim matters in
communication by the TWC number. In case local law requires retention of these
vouchers for more than five years, they shall be retained accordingly.
TIQ shall collect those parts exchanged in Warranty Repair work from the Dealers, and
confirm them against the claim for Warranty Repair work. Before collection the Dealer shall
maintain custody of these parts in accordance with the procedures below.
Except for liquid materials including fluid, grease and oil, all parts and materials
replaced through Warranty Repair work shall be kept in custody. However, even
liquid materials, when they constitute the primary cause for the defective
performance, shall be collected insofar as is possible and kept in custody.
TOYOTA IRAQ
The Dealer shall fix a place f or keeping said parts within its custody, and name a
custodian of them.
The Dealer shall keep such parts in good order in storage, removing oil, mud or other
materials from the parts and indicating with colored paint any other wise
indistinguishable cracks, flaws and the like, so as to aid in investigation of the
troubles, and shall attach Warranty Parts Tag to them. As one example for an
efficient storage system, parts in custody may be shelved in order of month of repair.
The Dealer shall keep the parts in custody for the period of 60 days from the actual
repair date.
TOYOTA IRAQ
In principle, one tag will be prepared per each defective part. However, one tag may
be prepared to cover a plural number of parts if the parts are grouped under a single
repair order sheet or TWC Form.
TOYOTA IRAQ
WAH or TMC may revise or abrogate all or part of this Warranty Policy if the
need arises.
This Warranty Policy shall take effect on the first da y of May 2016.

TOYOTA IRAQ
Various Warranty Codes are used in warrant y claim processing and its related
administration.
(1)General Codes
(3)T1 Codes
(4)T2 Codes
A Dealer Code is a code assigned to each Dealer by TIQ. This code indicates the
Dealer from whom the warranty claim originates. Therefore, Dealer Code and TWC
No. will be maintained without change through the involved companies in the claim
processing.
(2) Claimant
Dealer Code who submits the claim to the TIQ, and to whom the claim cost is
reimbursed.
Invoice No. is assigned by each Claimant according to their own numbering system.
Therefore, each TWC data must carry the Invoice No. (Request No.) which covers all
TWC data in one cycle of the requisition transaction.
(5) Franchise
System Code
TOYOTA = “T” “1”
LEXUS = “L” “4”
Vehicle Warranty VE
Accessories Warranty AC
Service Parts Warranty P1
Counter Sales Parts & Accessories Warranty P2
With regard to Warranty Claims for Warranty Type AC, P1 and P2, refer to Warranty
Policy and Procedures Manual for Parts and Accessories Warranty.
TOYOTA IRAQ
When the Claimant claims from the TIQ the cost of non -vehicle-repair, this must be
flagged with value "1".
Non-V flag is to be applied in the following cases.
Flag "1" on the data of foreign sold Vehicle, otherwise leave it blank.
In case of the Global or ISO VIN exists, do not enter Model & Frame No.
System Code
Km : "K" "1"
Mile : "M" "2"
The TIQ will accept warranty claims with the distance traveled which is indicated in
either "Km" or "Miles", even if they are mixed, as long as the distance measuring type,
i.e. Km or Miles, is accurately indicated.
(12) Data ID
Technical warranty data is data to be collected by TIQ or TMC for statistical purpose.
Therefore, the Technical warranty data will not be handle d as a warranty claim, and
therefore will not be reimbursed.
If detailed data line is controlled as above, give a pay code to that data line and control
the amount of it, accordingly.
Example, in case "Not Claim from the TIQ", the amount on that line must be "0.00" to
the TIQ.
This pay code is applied to Parts, Labor and Sublet data segments with the same logic.
