Conservation binding of handmade paper with wood engravings on original printed wrappers affixed to front and back cover.

Currently sewn through the folds, but shows original stab holes from first sewing.

All edges trimmed.

Signatures: (14 x 9 cm.): A-C[superscript 6] [$1,3 signed]; 18 leaves, pp. [1-3] 4-36.

Printer's marks.

Thomas Bewick was a prominent wood engraver in the latter part of the 18th century. He is honored for developing the "white line"
engraving.
