US, UAE, the UK, Bangladesh and Germany. The US is
the largest importer among all importing about one
fourth of the total exports from India.

COVID 19 IMPACT
Textile and Apparel exports in 20-21 dropped by 13%
, from $34 billion in 19-20 to $29 billion.
Exports of ready made garment fell by 20.78%.
However, India witnessed a huge surge in exports
during the year 2021-22 since major destinations
opened up. (US, UK and China)
The overall services and merchandise exports
reached an all-time high during the year,
witnessing a 34.5% increase from the same last
year.
India has also become the second-largest
manufacturer of PPE in the world. More than 600
companies in India are certified to produce PPEs
today
