Jesus continued: “There was a man who had two sons. The younger one said to his father, ‘Father, give me my
share of the estate.’ So he divided his property between them. Luke 15:11-12 NIV
- What stands out to you about Jesus’ story?
- Share a story about a time you distanced yourself from God, intentionally or unintentionally. What was
the driving force behind that distance?

“But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his
son, threw his arms around him and kissed him. Luke 15:20 NIV
- What stands out to you about the father’s response to the son’s return?
- What do you think it looks like for God to be filled with compassion and respond to you this way?

“‘My son,’ the father said, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. But we had to celebrate and
be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’” Luke 15:31-32

- The Father never stops loving His kids and He always celebrates the opportunity to bring us home.
