STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

“Find your passion and it’s no longer work” I have always believed in this saying. When
I was a kid I was curiously searching for my passion and I found myself being passionate
about various things. Some passion lasted for years while some passion lasted only for a
couple of days. I cannot say that I have always been passionate about pursuing an MBA
but ever since I started my under graduate program, I gained a special interest towards
supply chain management. A successful supply chain management of a company defines
their position amidst global competition. That is why I’m keen on pursuing this
specialized course and gaining professional competence.

In 2022 I completed my bachelor’s degree in business administration with computer

applications from Sri Krishna college of arts and science, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. This
course bestowed me with detailed knowledge on marketing, organization behavior,
human resource management and especially computer applications which in turn opened
my horizons to pursue a masters in data analytics.

Apart from my studies, I was also a part of Entrepreneurs club during my under graduate
which helped me gain practical knowledge about a business and how it’s done. This club
exposed me to different kinds of businesses and I started wondering about how a product
in a business is made and how it reaches the customers. Thus, creating a spark in me to
learn about supply chain. I was also part of UYIR club, where we set up campaigns for
road safety and discipline. This helped me develop my communication and interpersonal
skills. I volunteered in many events and clubs organized by the institute which gave me
an opportunity to build my leadership and team player qualities.

I believe that data analytics is the future of the business world. Data analytics is being
increasingly used by large corporations and even startups to reduce costs, to achieve
better targeted and marketing and to optimize their existing processes. I think that anyone
who wants to start a business of their own or wants to work in the business world should
acquire skills and knowledge on data analytics.

My father and his brother are first generation Entrepreneurs who happen to own a
software solutions company which mainly focuses on simplifying the distribution
challenges in the FMCG and consumer pharma industries and to also provide real time
visibility across supply chain. This encouraged me to pursue advanced studies on both
supply chain and data analytics.

For a long time, I dreamed of pursuing my higher studies in a foreign university. One of
the main reasons was that it would challenge me. I would also be able to meet new people
and gain global insights about my field of interest. My research on various universities
led me to Northern Kentucky University, USA and I was very pleased to learn that you
offer an MBA for both supply chain management and data analytics. The quality of
education system and the campus settings impressed me. NKU welcomes many students
annually from all over the world. I hope I would evolve as a person while studying
among culturally diverse students and I also hope to gain a lot of knowledge and practical
skills which would help me further my professional goals. It would be a privilege for me
to pursue an MBA from NKU. I promise to deliver my best performance as an avid
learner.

After completing my education, I wish to come back to India and look for jobs in reputed
companies where my skills are put to good use. In India there is a huge demand for MBA
graduates with an international qualification. With this, I look forward to pursue an MBA
in data analytics and supply chain management from Northern Kentucky University,
USA.
