Ref: MoH STAFF RECRUITMENT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE ACTIVITIES SUPPORTED BY MSF IN
Mudug regional Hospital and GALKAYO-North IDP CAMPS, Puntland state of Somalia.

With reference to the above-mentioned subject related to MSF support to the Ministry of Health
(MoH) activities in the Mudug regional Hospital and IDP camps of Galkayo Mudug, MSF would like
you to announce a total of 19 MoH staff positions that will be recruited and seconded to MSF as
detailed in the below job requirements. The recruited staff will work within the agreed program
activities supported by MSF in Mudug Regional Hospital (MRH) and the Outreach in Galkayo North
IDP camps. As per the technical agreement signed between MSF and MoH, MSF will lead the
recruitment process in fair and transparent way, and candidates will be selected solely on
competency and merit basis after thorough written exams and oral interviews under the
observation of Hospital management committee (HMC) and MoH.

requirements for each position based on which shortlisting of candidates for written examination
will be done detailed below.

employment certificate, etc.) to MoH Administration in Galkayo, Puntland state of Somalia..

In addition to meeting the ESSENTIAL requirements of the position, If a candidate do not clearly
state the position for which he/she applying for & attach the required diploma, certificate & other
supporting documents to support the requirements, your application will not be considered.

Only applicants with required qualifications and documents will be selected and contacted
through the list of shortlisted candidates to be displayed in MoH and MRH offices in Galkayo.

POSITIONS REQUIREMENTS

1. Requirements for Laboratory Technician Position

Education • Essential: Laboratory Technician Diploma /Degree.

Experience • Essential: Minimum 1-year experience in similar position
preferably with other NGO/MSF.
Languages • Essential: Fluent in English & Somali.
Skills • Essential: knowledge in Computer (word and excel).

2. Requirements for Nurse Position

Education • Essential Nursing diploma including Bachelor in

science of Nursing.
Experience • Working experience at least 2 year in nursing preferably
with other NGOs/MSF.
Languages • Fluent in English & Somali.
Skills • Basic knowledge on computer (word, excel).

3. Requirements for Nurse Assistant Position

Education • Essential Minimum secondary school completion

certificate.
Experience • Essential: Working experience at least 1 year as nurse
assist with paramedical background preferably with
other NGOs/MSF.
Languages • Essential: English & Somali.
Skills • Essential: Basic knowledge on computer (word, excel).

 4. Requirements for Drug Dispenser Position

Education • Essential: Paramedical background with pharmacy

diploma.
Experience • Essential: Working experience of at least 1 year in
similar position preferable with other NGOs /MSF.
Languages • Essential: Somali and English.
Skills • Essential: Basic knowledge of mathematics/
Computer.

5. Requirements for WatSan Operator Position

Education • Essential Minimum Higher school completion

certificate.
Experience • Essential: Working experience of at least 1 year in
similar position like hands on maintenance of septic
tanks, manholes, system blockages, plumbing, repairs,
IRS spraying and environmental sanitation preferable
with other NGOs /MSF.
Languages • Somali and English.
Skills • Basic knowledge of Computer.

6. Requirements for Health Educator Position

Education • Essential: Minimum secondary school completion

certificate.
Experience • Essential: working experience (1 year minimum) in
similar position or with NGOs/ MSF in health
promotion/education activities.
Languages • Essential: Somali and English.
Skills • Essential: Basic knowledge of Computer.
