each other. Though despi te the bond that we' ve
est ablished, thi s wi ll not be enough to pose against most
r isks.

Which is why, we as part of the Mayapa communi ty are

giving you t his seminar for you to better r educe ri sks
t hat ar e recur ri ng in the disasters that we experi ence.

1.Before the typhoon hits, clean the near drainage of any potential clogging to
prevent flooding in the streets.
2.Close the curtains/blinds to reduce the shards scattered in case of shattered
windows.
3.Support objects easily blown away, such as items on a rooftop, pots that are
elevated,
TV antennas, trash bins.
4.Also turn things that catch water upside-down for the population of
mosquitoes to not grow after the typhoon.
5.Fortify any damages your house has like holes on your roof.

It goes without saying that
evacuation is done if needed.
If your home is structurally well
then you need not to evacuate
and you should just stay inside.

the most vulnerable of the
typhoon-to- come's effects.If you
are one of those here are the

People are allowed to stay in the
barangay hall for shelter and necessities.
they are also being fed and lent warm
clothes in the time of the disaster.
This court is where most of the activities of the
barangay are held, like giving rations,
Basketball leagues, Pageants, etc. This place is
very wide and really fit for people for
evacuation.

2.Camp Vicente Lim

Yes, the police camp is also an
evacuation center in which they
also provide the evacuees needs
of food.
Factors for a successful
Evacuation
COOPERATION
For people to be saved in times of disasters, we
must cooperate. Listening to the Hall's
announcement and following their orders is a VULNERABILITY
good start.
We must also know and foresee the effects of
the incoming disaster in our community so we
EVACUTION CENTERS can manage and ready ourselves and the whole
barangay.
After you've left your home, the higher ups will
prepare a fully functioning sanctuary for the
people who need to evacuate. Fully functioning
means electrical supply, right temperature,
good ventilation and food rations.
