INTRODUCTION
__________We have come here with you to celebrate the Eucharist together and for
the first time we will receive the Living Bread. Thank you for bringing us to God.
Thank you for sharing with us the Bread of Life.
__________Dear friends, dear people of God. When children were baptized they
received the gift of new life from God. We took upon ourselves the responsibility to
bring them up as His children, and to help them live and serve God and their
neighbors. Today, we are happy to see you and that of our children receive their
FIRST HOLY COMMUNION. May they experience God’s love in this Eucharistic
celebration. May this love support our lives of faith and that of our children.
__________We are gathered here today for the joyful celebration of receiving Jesus in
Holy Communion for the very first time. The Lord will dwell in us. He will make the
seed of faith that was implanted in our hearts at baptism, grow ever stronger. Jesus
suffered death and rose from the dead so as to give us the heavenly food that we will
receive today. With Jesus in us, we should be salt of the earth and light of the world.
Commentator: Communicants, please put off your candles. Let us welcome Christ in
the person of our Mass Presider Reverend Father___________________, Please all
rise and lets us join the choir in singing joyfully the entrance hymn.

sinned in my thoughts and in my words, in what I have done, in what I have failed to
do, (striking the breast, and say) through my fault, through my fault, through my most
grievous fault, therefore I ask the Blessed Mary ever Virgin, all the Angels and Saints,
and you, my brothers and sisters, to pray for me to the Lord our God
Priest: May almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and bring us to
everlasting life.
All: Amen.

FIRST READING:
RESPONSORIAL PSALM
Majesty and Glory are his work, and his justice endures forever. He has won renown
for his wondrous deeds;gracious and merciful is the Lord.
He has given food to those who fear him; he forever be mindful of his covenant. He
has made known to his people the power of his works, giving them the inheritance of
the nations.
SECOND READING:
Brothers and Sisters: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has
blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavens, as he chose us in him,
before the foundation of the world, to be holy and without blemish before him. In
loved he destined us for adoption to himself through Jesus Christ, in accord with the
favor of his will, for the praise of the glory of his grace that he granted us in the
beloved. In him we were also chosen, destined in accord with the purpose of the One
who accomplishes all things according to the intention of his will, so that we might
exist for the praise of his glory, we who first hoped in Christ.
GOSPEL ACCLAMATION
GOSPEL
The Angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin
betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of David, and the virgin’s name was
Mary. And coming to her, he said, “Hail full of grace! The Lord is with you.” But she
was greatly troubled at what was said and what sort of greeting this might be. Then
the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid Mary, for you have found favor with God.
Behold you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him
Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High, and the Lord God
will give him the throne of David his father, and he rule over the house of Jacob
forever, and of his Kingdom there will be no end.” but Mary said to the angel, “How
can this be, since I have no relations with a man?” And the angel said to her in reply,
“The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will
overshadow you. Therefore the child to be born will called holy, the Son of God. And
behold Elizabeth, your relative, has also conceived a son in her old age, and this is a
sixth a month for her who was called barren; for nothing will be impossible with
God.” Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me
according to your word.” Then the angel departed from her.
HOMILY
Commentator: Communicants, please all rise with your lighted candle for the renewal
of Baptismal Promises.

Response: I do

Response: I do
Response: I do
Priest: Do you believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth?
Response: I do
Priest: Do you believe in Jesus Christ, hid only Son, our Lord, who was born of the
Virgin Mary and was buried, rose from the dead, and is now seated at the right hand
of the Father?

Response: I do
Priest: God, the all-powerful Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, has given us a new birth
by water and the Holy Spirit, and forgiven all our sins. May he also keep us faithful to
our Lord Jesus Christ for ever and ever.
Response: Amen.
I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things
visible and invisible. I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of
God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God
from true God,begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all
things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven,
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our
sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate,he suffered death and was buried, and rose
again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and
is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the
living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the
Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the
Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. I
believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the
forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of
the world to come. Amen.
