Risk Management Plan

April 1, 2022
Our previous risk management project roles and responsibilities I identified various risk

within our Tyrell Corporations project. The details of this project are as follows; Design a

website in 3 months for Tyrell Corporations focusing on their newest product Nexus-6 replicant.

In this paper I will identify risk, propose solutions, and create an action plan. I will provide a list

of risk in numerical order listed from most impactful downward, and provide an action plan to

combat or encourage the risk identified.

Risks: Revisit the Anticipated Project Risks section of your Risk Management Project Roles
and Responsibilities assignment. Given the timeline that Eldon Tyrell has given you, are your

initial identified risks still valid? Why or why not? Do you foresee any additional risks?

In my previous risk analysis, I identified 3 risks that were impactful to this project. After

receiving the 3 months’ timetable these risks are still important and should remain a focus for our

project team. First, we must make sure our content and information are accurate. Next, we must

ensure our site to be unique. We want to avoid coping anyone else web design and verify that our

site is not a replica of another companies. Lastly, we need to verify that our site will work on all

browsers and computers. It is vital that our web site can be easily accessible to everyone on the

internet regardless of the computer manufacture or branded browser they are using. After doing

farther research and receiving the 3-month timeline there is additional risk that we will need to

address and have an action plan created. The additional risk is: important risks are not identified,

adding new features outside of the original scope, market interest has decreased and unrealistic

design expectations.
Solutions: For this section, create a table. In the left-hand column, create a list of all the risks
you have identified so far for this project. In the right-hand column, create a list of your proposed

solution(s) to each risk. These solutions must be detailed, including the resources or

communication that will be needed to mitigate the risks. Your solutions must also be practical

RISK MITIGATION

Inaccurate content and description In order to assure we have accurate data and

information provided on the site the project

manger will need to work with various teams.

The main team we will rely on for this

information is the sales executives. They are

the most educated on the Tyrell Portfolio and

will be able to accurately provide the

information needed to outline all products

featured on the new website. An additional

team that will need to work with on this will

be the marketing team. They will be able to

provide and review the information we are

sharing with their targeted audience and use

their ideas to display the correct content. This

will need to be complete before the web

design is started (or at the begging stages) so

we do not have to revise our content after

Product launch.

Individual Web design While creating our website, one of our main

focuses is individualism. Tyrell Corporations

wants to ensure our design is unique and does

not copy or resemble that of their competitors.

The project manager will rely on the Web

Design team to create an accurate and unique

site. After the site is created, if will be

submitted for review to verify that it does not

resemble a competitor. If our website does

reflect that of our competitors, we will need to

address the project delay and revise the site.

Browser Compatibility The project manager will need to hire a web

designer that has experience working with all

browsers. The code used must be compatible

with Microsoft, Apple and Linux. The adobe

application will need to be compatible with all

major web browsers (Edge, Firefox, Chrome,

Internet Explorer)

Unidentified important risk Since inception we will need to brainstorm

with all stakeholders and project team

members to introduce all factors of risk that

could impact the project plan. After

identifying all risk, we will need to create a

risk action plan and monitor all risk

throughout the life of the project.

Added Features outside of Original Scope The project manger will need to identify all

products and designs that are wanted by the

stakeholders to be featured on the site. They

will need to sign off on a list of selected

products and verify the order in which the

products will be listed. If additional work or

products are need to be added during or after

the project, a change request will need to be

submitted and additional time will need to be

billed.

Decrease in Market interest The sales team will be directly in charge of

creating interest, selling the product and

working with marketing to market the Tyrell

Portfolio.

Unrealistic Design expectations Ensure effective communication amongst

project team and stakeholders. Obtain

acknowledgment and approval from

stakeholders early and often. Involve and

engage with stakeholders throughout the

design process. Hold stakeholders

accountable for effective communication

throughout the term of the project.

Action Plan: Now is the time to create an action plan for these risks. For this section, list all
risks and rank your risks from greatest to least (this can be in numerical format or in a list with

the greatest risks at the top). Once you have done this, provide a detailed action plan for each. Be

sure to state whether your chosen action is preventative or a contingency and why.
