Introduction
Letter
Hello families,
My name is Madison Meeks and I will be your child’s
5th grade teacher this year! This is a manual I have made
that explains my management plan for this school year. I
want to make sure you are able to have your own copy of
the rules and procedures I will have in my classroom as
well as my rewards and consequences. I am so excited to
have a fun and safe academic school year with your child.
I graduated from Stetson University with a Bachelor's
Degree in Elementary Education. Teaching is my passion
and I am so exciting for you to be able to watch your child
develop throughout the year! Some of my hobbies include
going on the boat, going to the beach and shopping!
If you ever are needing to contact me, you can
message me through remind or you can email me.

Thank you,
Madison Meeks

Consequences

from good behavior to buy candy/ toys from
the treasure box.
● The students can also receive lunch with the
teacher as a reward.

Consequences

● Students are first given warnings.

● If the behavior is not fixed, tickets will be taken,
or silent lunch will be assigned.
● If the behavior is still not fixed, there will be a
message or a call home depending on the
behavior.
● Severe behaviors will be handled by
administration.
Layout Plan for Ideal
Classroom (5th Grade)

Rationale: I chose this layout because I believe it is important for

students to have the access to talk and work with their peers at
an acceptable time. I do not like having the students all spaced
apart because I feel like that does nothing for teaching, the
students they are a team and need to work together. The
classrooms at the school I am hoping to work at are set up
unusual from what is normal (very wide and narrow) and I feel
like it is most beneficial for the my teacher area/desk to be in the
back corner of the classroom.
