Re: Payment on Violation

Dear Sir:
Jolly Day! This is with regards to the notice of violation and order of payment that you have released to
our establishment yesterday, January 14, 2020. We were visited by your team last January 7, 2020 to
conduct a fire safety inspection as part of the requirements for our business permit renewal. It was
found out that there was insufficient First Aid Fire Protection. Yesterday, we are being ordered to pay
the amount of Thirty Seven Thousand Five Hundred pesos (P37,500) and was given 15 days to correct
the violation. This violation was corrected by the establishment last week, January 8, 2020, upon the
arrival of the ordered additional fire extinguishers from our supplier.

Prior to this, there was a surprise fire safety site visit in our establishment that was conducted last
November 2019. The same violations found were the ones mentioned above. These were relayed
outright to our superiors and we started processing the orders of additional fire extinguishers and the
installation of the new fire alarm system. The ordering of these items takes time and the 15 days given
to us would not suffice the period needed for the delivery and installation of our goods. The timely
delivery of these goods depends on the suppliers as they will also undergo through a meticulous process
in terms of ordering, approval and payment. What we can only do in our end is to do consistent follow
up as to meet the deadline given to us by the BFP – Kabankalan.

With these challenges, we are hoping for your kind understanding and consideration. If still, your
decision is to fine us with the amount mentioned above, I, Juben Vasquez, Assistant Restaurant Manager
of Jollibee Guanzon and the over all in charge of these, will have to shoulder the for the penalty
incurred. To be honest, I do not know how and when can I raised such huge amount that will come from
my personal pocket and I am hoping for your empathic deliberation.
We apologize for this inconvenience. It has been our utmost goal to work hand in hand with our
government. We have always been obedient in following the standards set by the government and we
try to meet the deadlines that were put to us as much as we can.
