1.3 Attentions Required in the App lication

(1) No standard is stipulated in regard to issuing of the drawings.

Therefore, confirm in each project with the assigned engineer about th~
kind of drawing to be prepared.

(2) In using this manual, refer also to the sample drawings pre?ared
separately.
Kinds of the sample drawings are as shown in the Attached Tabl= 1
“Sample Drawing List (Electrical)”.
.
(3) When any foreign country’s (non-Japanese) standards are to be applied
in the project there may be cases where the applicable symbols and alsc
design standards are quite different from those shown in this manual.
Therefore, discuss with the assigned engineers in regard to this
matter.

2. TITLE AND SYMBOLS TO BE USED IN DRAWINGS

2.1 Title of Drawing

(1) The titles of drawings shall be as those-shown in par. 1.2.

.. .
(2) The titles shall be in English, as a rule.

2.2 s @ols to Be Used in Drawinqs

The symtils in the drawings shall be in accordance with JiS C0301

“Graphic Symbols for Electrical Apparatus” and JIS C0303 “Graphical Symbols

3. PREPARATION OF DRAWINGS

The purpse of use and matters which at least shall be described are as
shown below for each kind of drawing. Examples of the drawings are shown in
the sample dzawings.

3.1 Common Requirements to Each Kind of Layout Drawinqs

.
(1) In case of some kinds of the layout drawings, many number of sheets
may be involved. In such cases, a drawing should be made which is to
be used exclusively as “explanation” made up of matters common to
such kind of drawing. In such “explanation”, the followings shall
be described.
.-L
(a) General notes

(b) Reference drawings

(c) symbols

(d) Explanation of cable mark

(e) Typical wiring illustration

(2) Descriptions required in each kind of drawings

.
(a) Indication of battery limit

(b) Drawing scale (scale with graduations)

(c) Key plan

(d) Indication of azimuth

(e) Routing of main cable (duct, rack, trench, etc.)

(f) Locations of major equipment (towers, tanks, rotating machinery,

, etc.), pipe racks, structures, buildings, etc.
.. .
(3) Attentions required

(a) Each of the layout drawings may be made by use of a base drawing,
which is a reproducible original of the plot plan dzawing made in
advance.

(b) Drawing scale shall be 1/100 as a standard. However, in cases

of “Main Cable Route Plan” and “Cable Rack Layout”, etc., other
scale may be chosen depending on the plant size, in order to
reduce the number of divided sheets involved.

(c) Any matters which are to be heeded in the construction work, but
cannot be depicted in drawing, should be indicated by “Notes”
described in blank spaces.
