2. Set an interview schedule with one of these officials to know more about the
following;
a. What are the priority programs and projects that the DepEd has implemented this
school year?
b. What are the challenges, issues, and problems they met in their division or district in
relation to curriculum implementation?
Challenges
a) Lack of preparation and professional development;
b) Excessive academic burden on students; and
c) Integration of lessons in the real-life context.
Issues:
1) the displacement of teachers at tertiary level;
2) the lack of information on the guidelines for implementation;
3) the lack of university students for two years; and
4) the lack of resources for implementation.
Problem:
It include the need for teachers to be trained in pedagogy, education research,
measurement and evaluation, and classroom management to ensure that instructions are
delivered in a meaningful way and a lack of government budget to provide the necessary
resources to support this new curriculum, including junior and senior high school teachers.
c. What are the strategies they are implementing to address these issues, challenges,
and problems?
The following are the strategies used to address the issues, challenges and problems
in the implementation of curriculum as follows;

The process of developing a curriculum may be broken down into five simple steps:
1.) Identifying needs, 2.) planning, 3.) creating material, 4.) delivering a pilot lesson, and
5.) revising the final product. It is ideal to have at least 12 to 18 months to plan and build a
curriculum.
2. Develop a flow chart describing how a curriculum proposal reaches the level of
approval in your college or university.
Northern Bukidnon State College flowchart is actually inspired from the Program
Outcomes of Northern Bukidnon State College to meet and provide quality and effective
education to the learners.

GOALS
1. Collect samples of syllabus in your school. Examine how each syllabus considers
the various factors affecting the identified curriculum implementation. Write
your observation on the space provided.
