Duties and responsibilities


 Labour – Oversee all Packhouse personnel under your jurisdiction,
Monitoring attendance by direct reports and allocation of duties.
 Hygiene - Monitor adherence to hygiene schedules, rotas and maintaining
safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on
the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining
compliance with established policies and procedures.

 Communication - Promptly and clearly communicating to the Management


and the process operatives of any non-conformances that may affect the
completion of daily packs/orders or which may jeopardize the safety and
quality of products.

 Planning – Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations;


monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and
disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, motivating and enforcing
policies, systems, and procedures in order to ensure a smooth running of
the Packhouse.

 Raw Material and Order Processing – Daily, in conjunction with Packhouse


manager, ensure that assigned crops/products are correctly graded and
orders processed timely, as per the given instructions and specification.

 Customer Specification/adherence –Ensure that customer specifications and


internal Raw materials specs are up to date; interpreted well to users and
monitoring compliance. Facilitate and distribute specification and customer
reports to immediate team.

 Training – Demonstrate/conduct awareness/training to personnel on the


relevant processes procedures, company policies, customer requirements
and product presentation. Monitor and follow-up the process by developing
personnel growth.

 Quality management – Maintain total adherence level of QMS, by ensuring


product/systems/facility and strategic issues comply with company policies
and goals. Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing
organization standards.

 Efficiencies – Monitor individual performance/targets, maintaining work


flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables;
observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and
resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing
reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions
within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation

 Target- Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel;

 Packaging Material – At any given time, ensure proper utilization of


packaging material, co ordination, collection and compliance of customer
specification/ market. Ensures operation of equipment by reporting/calling
for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.

 Barcode printing and approval – To accurately produce/generate/design


labels of high standard, with no products returned due to quality issues,
troubleshoot equipment problems. Facilitate change sheet and approvals.
Perform daily/weekly/monthly maintenance on equipment as required.
Communicate with supervisors / manager on job deadline issues and any
other pertinent information.

 Records - Ensures that all section/area records are accurately collected,


filled up well, corrective action taken and files are up to date. Ensure all
boards are correctly done and with up to date information. Ensure
verification of data is done by answering questions and responding to
requests.
 Feedback report to/From superior: Resolve personnel and product quality
problems by collect & analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying
solutions; recommending action in order to control and prevent re
occurrence.

 Review Process - Participate in review of all process systems as need


arises, Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending
educational workshops, establishing personal networks and contributing to
team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

 Health and safety - Proactively ensure the safety and health of personnel in
all areas of operations. Routinely communicate with employees to ensure
compliance with established safety and productivity policies aiming to
achieve “Zero” accidents by taking a leadership role in safety. Investigate
and identify root causes of accidents, quality holds, material waste or
environmental non-compliance utilizing authorized PPE etc in order to

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Receiving
 Supervise receipt of all shipments. Process receiving, discrepancy, and
damage reports as needed.
 Move inventory to various locations manually and by operating
mechanical equipment, pallet jack, and handcart.
 Load and unload delivery truck by hand or with pallet jack.
 Assume responsibility for delivery of all items received by warehouse
to other department on a daily basis.
 Evaluate complaints received on shipments of equipment and
supplies and take appropriate action.

Inventory

 Supervise warehousing and storage of all supplies, equipment, and


Packaging consumable materials.
 Supervise maintenance of computerized inventory records.
 Initiate all purchase requests to keep stock items available at all times.
 Develop and recommend procedures for orderly replacement of
existing movable equipment as it becomes obsolete or deteriorates.
