Writing Expressing meaning of short functional text and simple monologue text in th e form of narrative, explanation, and discussion in context of everyday life and in the use of accessing science BASIC COMPETENCE : 12.2 Writing (Discussion) Expressing meaning and rhetorical steps in simple monologue text accurately, fluently and acceptable in context of everyday life and in the use of accessing science in the form of discussion TEACHING OBJECTIVES : To practice producing written monologue text in the form of discussion I. INDICATORS : Based on the written monologue text in the form of news item, students in groups are able to: 1. Brainstorm the ideas 2. Make drafting about discussion 3. Revise the discussion text they have written down in the drafting stage 4. Write a discussion text with well and correct generic structure 5. Write a discussion text with good developing ideas 6. Write a discussion text with good grammar and vocabulary application 7. Teacher guides students in group to eliminate the unnecessary vocabularies as the result from brainstroming activity 3. Teacher guides and shares to the students in group how to implement the selected vocabularies into sentences that built into outline 4. Teacher guides and monitor students in group how to write discussion in drafting stage 5. Teacher guides students in group how to edit their work 6. Teacher guides students in group how to revise their work 7. Teacher assigns students in group to write their final of their news item as the result of group work and hand it in to the teacher 8. Closing 1. Overviewing the meeting, reflecting about the strength and weaknessess of the writing process experienced by the students in group. 2. Checking the students learning progress 3.
