How to answer why you want to work in this company? The infallible formula

 Show your interest and motivation for the company. You can answer that you
know the company and that you identify with it. Include in your answer’s
information related to values, culture, etc.
 Think about the things you know the interviewer is looking for. Highlight your
competencies, skills, experience, or anything you know is required for the role
and will position you among the best candidates.
 If you can also look for an added value, that is, explain to the employer what
else you can offer to the company and how it benefits if it hires you, you will
stand out even more.

Examples:
if you have experience
"I know and use their line of skin care products. I love them for their quality, their good
presentation and their easy instructions for use. It is evident that they are customer-
oriented. That is why I believe that with my skills in the area of marketing and
distribution, I will be able to improve your position in the market and achieve the
growth objectives that have been set. In addition, I would feel proud and privileged to
work for the brands I admire."
In this example we demonstrate our knowledge of the company and its products, our
competencies and those of the role and explain how we will add value to the
company, showing enthusiasm and pride for the company and the product.

Example 2: If you have no work experience

"I want to start my career in the area of computer science in this company because I
know that you have an excellent reputation developing innovative programs tailored
to the needs of customers. While studying at the University, in the internship, I had the
opportunity to learn how to handle some of the software they use. So I think that, with
my skills in the technical area, my curiosity and initiative I will be able to contribute
quickly in the design of the projects that have been planned for this year«
In this example we highlight our knowledge of the company and enthusiasm for
working in it, given its reputation.
It clearly shows how the candidate's competencies relate to those of the role and
how they can add value with their knowledge.

Example 3: How NOT to answer

"I need this job because I've been unemployed for quite a while. My wife has recently
lost her job and now we see that we cannot afford to cover the expenses and debts we

have acquired. I feel capable of doing any job they offer me."  "I've heard that you guys
pay well and give good benefits." etc.
These responses reflect anxiety and urgency to meet personal needs, interest in salary
and benefits, and willingness to do anything.

What should you never answer?

"Because I have experience"

"I meet the requirements of the position"

"It's close to the house."

These types of responses demonstrate little preparation and interest. And while you
might mention any of these reasons, it shouldn't be the only reason. You should do a
little more research to supplement your response with information that shows interest
in the company.

 by necessity:
"I need a job that allows me to pay my debts"

"I have not worked for several months and I am desperate"

"It's the only vacancy available"

Although they may be true and genuine answers, they will not help you get the job,
and show little interest in the position and the company.

What is the recruiter's goal when they ask you this question?

 Make sure you have a real interest in the position and the company,
beyond the economic interest.
 Know if your values and culture are in line with the company.
 Determine if you will be able to fit in with the company and add value.
 Know if you have prepared, if you have researched and understood what
the company does, the profile of the position and how it relates to your
professional interests.
 Measure your analytical skills by relating your competencies to the
information you have obtained about the company and the position.
