ACTIVITY OF INTEGRATION ON ALGEBRA
Mr. Ombaa has two sons; Sony and Judy. He has a piece of land whose area is 100m2.
Because he did not know the exact width and length of the land, he gave Sony a
smaller piece of the land than Judy. The length of the portion of land given to Sony is 3
times the width of the whole land while the length of the whole land is 4 times the width
of the whole land. This is illustrate in the figure below.

This difference in the size of the plots of land has brought conflict between Mr. Ombaa
and his sons. In order to calm down the situation, Mr. Ombaa decided that he needs to
establish the exact width and length of the whole piece of land so that he can divide the
piece of land equally between his two sons, Sony and Judy.
TASK
As a S.2 student, use the knowledge of factorization to help Mr. Ombaa calm the
situation between him and his two Children.
