1 Functional description
1 Functional description
The option “KR C2 Cooling Unit “HÄWA” with Large External Fan” ensures that the internal
temperature of the KR C2 does not exceed +55 _C at a maximum power dissipation of 600 W
and a maximum external temperature of +55 _C. The cooling unit is switched on when the
internal temperature reaches 35 _C. The external fan and compressor of the cooling unit only
run when the cooling unit is active. The internal fan continues to run as long as the cooling
unit is supplied with power, thus preventing heat build–up. The condensation which is formed
evaporates in the outer circuit of the cooling unit.
The cooling unit is maintenance–free and does not require a filter.
1.1 Fundamentals
1.1.1 Liability
The option described in this documentation is the “KR C2 Cooling Unit “HÄWA” with Large
External Fan”, consisting of:
G HÄWA air conditioner;
G air conditioner installation kit (air conditioner installation kit V2A optional)
G motor circuit–breaker F5;
G terminal block XE4;
G large external fan;
G fastening and connection materials.
This option is designed and built using state–of–the–art technology and in accordance with
the recognized safety rules. Nevertheless, improper installation of this unit or its employment
for a purpose other than the intended one may constitute a risk to life and limb of operating
personnel or of third parties, or cause damage to or failure of the control cabinet, resulting
in damage to or failure of the entire robot system and other material property.
The “KR C2 Cooling Unit “HÄWA” with Large External Fan” may only be used in technically
perfect condition in accordance with its designated use, by safety–conscious persons who
are fully aware of the risks involved in its operation, and only when the external temperature
is +20 _C or higher. To prevent excessive water condensation in the cooling unit, it must be
ensured that the cabinet door remains closed during operation. Connection and use must
be carried out in compliance with this documentation.
Before carrying out any removal or maintenance work on the option “KR C2 Cooling Unit
“HÄWA” with Large External Fan”, please refer to the accompanying circuit diagram, the
cabling description and the operating instructions of the KF700S filterless cooling unit.
