Introduction

Ratana Sutta is in the khuddakanikãya.This Ratana Sutta include in

suttanipata, khuddakanikãya.

The ratana for teaching this is to get rid of the evil that befalling
vesãli. There are many gemi in the world. Among the many gems , the
gems that will be displayed here is the best gem.This Ratana Sutta is one
of the paritta the glory of the gems .

A study of the Ratana Sutta

This Ratana collate glory of the three gems. In the beginning ,the
Buddha told the deities who came to listen to him respectfully.1
The Buddha told the deities because they are offered by people to
foster.2

Yaṃ kiñci etc. verse found what is promised by the glory of Buddha
for the safety of all creatures.
This verse Mean that only tathagata jewel is better than gold and
silver jewels.

Kayaṃ virãgaṃ etc verse found what is promised by t he glory of

Dhamma for the safety of all creatures.
This verse Mean How there in no greater treasure
than deathless nivãnã.1

This Ratana Sutta compose with the Eighteen Verse.

Fifteen beginning preached by the Buddha.
The end of three verse said by the Indra.

Conclusion

This Ratana Sutta is a batch that should be read. This Ratana if you
study to understand you must know the glory of the three gems. And then,
we can overcome to the bad sides with power of Ratana Sutta because we
worship to the Buddha, Dhamma and Saṃghā with Ratana Sutta. And
also, when we face suffering, we can worship it. We are looked after by
the good deities and saints because we worship it. So, we have to learn
and offer to recite for free from suffering and danger to the Ratana Sutta.
