I am a Nigerian trained Registered Nurse with a diploma in Nursing and a bachelor's degree in Nursing

science with  more than 10 years post RN qualification experience. I have worked in various units as
medical, surgical, gynecology, and community health services. I am currently a staff nurse at the Adult
Accident and Emergency department in my hospital. I had some training which include BLS, pain
management, proper waste disposal and hospital based continue Education Programme conducted
yearly. I have commenced NMC registration as I have passed IELTS and CBT.

I am self-motivated, compassionate, friendly, respectful, willing to learn, confident, approachable, a


good team player, and work equally as well independently. I am non-judgemental and supportive. I
practice utmost discretion and ensure strict confidentiality at all times. I have experience in dealing with
highly confidential data and actioning it as appropriate. and make patients' care my priority, which has
earned me recognition at my workplace and even among my patients. I have been in charge of units and
deputized for my line manager on many occasions. I coordinate efficiently, teach and delegate duties to
subordinates, newly qualified nurses, and students.

I believe I am capable of taking up this role and ready to demonstrate my professional skills to promote
the value of your institution.

During this time, I frequently have been in charge of the ward which involves prioritizing and organizing
patient care, the delegation of duties to other nurses, assistants, and student nurses, and delivering
effective, evidence-based care. My experience has enabled me to maintain clinical skills in areas
including medication management, intravenous cannulation, wound care, cardiac monitoring. I had to
deal with a variety of situations such as resuscitating a patient who had a cardiac arrest with the team
until spontaneous circulation was returned.

I am an active and valuable member of the multidisciplinary team in my unit. My practical skills and
experience of dealing with a variety of backgrounds and professionals has challenged me to become a
better version of myself in my career.

I am applying for the position because I feel it is where I would like to progress within my NHS career.

I am a proficient user of Microsoft Office, with a fast and accurate typing ability. I have experience
dealing with patients and clients in challenging situations, such as times of distress and upset. I am
familiar with checking important documentation, ensuring confidentiality is kept at all times.
I have excellent interpersonal skills and adaptive skills. I am administratively competent with a keen eye
for detail. I am friendly and I am well presented, with a clear speaking voice.

I am able to travel to additional sites and work additional hours as required.
