DOUBLE DUTY SUPREKE SEATS WITH A SERIES 8 VALVE AND EITHER A FEELER
GAGE OR SHIM STOCK TO CHECK POR PROPER VALVE AND SEAT CLEARANCE.
DUE TO PROBLEMS WITH SERIES 8 VALVES AND SZATS CRACKING OR VASBING OUT
PREMATURELY, ENGINEERING WILL NEED YOU TO CHECK THE CURRENT SEATS POR
HAVING THEIR BEVEL I.D. TO LARGE. (THE PROBLEM I$ WITH THE SEAT NOT THE
VALVE.) IT HAS BEEN CORRECTED SINCE AUGUST, 1991.

USE ANY SERIRS 8 VALVE TO CEBCK WITH SUCH AS P/N 060135100, 060135555,
060138654, 060137106, 060140100, OR 060141108.
WHEN YOU PUT THE VALVE AND SRAT TOGRTZER YOU SHOULD EAVE ABOUT .080" TO
.090" OF CLEARANCE BETWEEN TEE TOP OF THE CROSSARM AND THE BOTTOM OF
‘THE VALVE BODY. USE A STACK OF SEIN STOCK OR TYPICAL FERLER GAGES TO
MEASURE WITH, IF THE CLEARANCE IS .050" OR LESS CONTACT HFK
