1. The tine formula is used to calculate the tines, swallows and the number of parts

2. Number of swallows:

- wood width / (1.5 x wood thickness)

example: 100 mm / (1,5 x 20 mm) = 3,33 ~ 3

3. Number of pieces:

- (swallows x 3) + 1

example: (3 x 3) + 1 = 10

4. The number of parts is always 1 greater than the 3 times table (4, 7, 10, 14, 16 ...)

5. When calculating the swallows, always round off (3.3 = 3 swallows, 6.8 = 6 swallows)

6. Tine ratio:
- 1: 6 (9.5 °) for softwood

- 1 : 7 (8,1°) for hardwood
