Task Implementation
Time Who is Students will be at their desks, and I will announce it is time for recess we will

In class, we line up my number, so I will begin to line students up by number
sets. For example, 1-5, 6-10, 11-15
“Remember to grab your badge and then form a straight line, we will not leave
until everyone is ready”
“Can numbers 1-5 line up” give them a few moments then call the next group.
Once everyone is lined up” I will remind them of our expectations for walking
down the hall. “Also, remember to walk down the stairs quietly.”
Once everyone is ready, I will give the signal (a nod) to the line leader that we
are ready to go. Every time we change the direction the line leader will stop at
the end of the hall until I give them the signal to continue. Once I give the line
leader a signal (nod) they will continue. When going down the stairs I will
remind students to remain quiet and walk down the stairs.” Please walk quietly
down the stairs”
I will walk in the middle of the line and when we turn a corner, I will stay at the
corner to make sure I see the students in both directions. When more than half of
the students turn the corner, I will move to the middle of the line again.
If students are not meeting expectations, I will stop the line and remind them
that we will not move until everyone is following directions.
If students are meeting expectations, we will be able to get to recess on time and
in a straight quiet line.
