As I would see it, instructors ought to present exercises in

However, the one thing I wish I could do sometime is to

have student-driven meetings. I will request that the
students round out a short reflection sheet about their
academic, social, and emotional advancement. I will urge
them to record a couple of ways their families and
instructors can assist them with being fruitful in the study
hall. Some inquiry thoughts include: What do you like that
is happening in your school/classroom? What changes
would you make in your effort or in your teacher’s
instructional practices? How do you feel about your peers?
What are some of your favorite learning
activities/subjects? What do you do when you feel
stressed out? Do you feel supported?

In line also with this matter, I will urge more seasoned

students to lead the gathering. Early students can be
incited to address questions. This thought might sound
simple; however, it will sure assist me with amassing more
thoughts from my understudies, which I might propose to
those individuals in power to execute them. Also, who
knows, perhaps it can assist with making our schooling
framework solid, which consequently will create cutthroat
and fantastic citizens that will reinforce and support our
economy.

My Stairway to Successful Technology Integration
As a future teacher, think of a topic related to languages that you wish to deliver in class. Using
the stairways below, design a plan on how technology will be integrated for a successful
teaching and learning experience. Write your answers in the box.

TOPIC: Public Speaking

GRADE LEVEL: Grades 11 and 12
Short Intro: It’s not easy standing up in front of a crowd and making a speech. No matter how
many times you rehearse it, your nerves can still tie your tongue. The best way to prevent this
from happening is practice and coming to see public speaking as a fun challenge.
Learning to articulate and carry yourself well is a great way to stop your fear of public speaking
from taking over, especially if your life or work revolves around presentations, lectures, and so
on. Speaking to groups large and small can be a challenge for students of any age. Children
who are well prepared are bound to be more confident when a public speaking assignment
comes their way. Technology tools can support students as they work on their speeches and
practice speaking aloud.
With regards to this, I chose Vocabulary Builder. This application is perfect for setting students
up for success before their next public speaking opportunity arises.

Prezi With the help of this application, students will
feel more and more comfortable to speak if
they have some backup in the process. In
addition to notes, use the Prezi tool in the
classroom for some visual aid. The tool can
be set to help the speech process by going
simultaneously with the things students are
talking about.
Explain Everything By using Explain Everything, you can share
ideas and thoughts with your students in real
time. This app allows you to transform the
learning of your students by creating
presentations that include audio recordings,
video and text. This particular tool lets you
engage the students by allowing them to
create their own presentations and tutorials.
A change in roles in the classroom will be
refreshing for both you and your students.
Maybe telling a story with an app and
recoring it is less daunting then speaking in
front of the classroom at that particular
moment?
Pecha-Kucha The Pecha-Kucha app is a refreshing and
unique app that allows people to network and
show their work to others. In Japanese this
means ‘chatter’. If you believe that the
traditional PowerPoint speeches tend to
annoy your students if used often, this
presentation style might just be the perfect
alternative for you to use in the classroom.
Here is how it works: the student creates an
exact number of 20 slides which only appear
for 20 seconds each. This system provides
the student with a time constraint without the
need of trackers.
Pro Metronome Pro Metronome is another practice tool for
speeches. It finds those filler words and helps
the user create the perfect pace for the
separate sections of their presentation. This
is an app for everyone. It is very simple for
use and highly intuitive and will certainly add
your students in learning how to increase the
credibility and present their ideas.
Vocabulary.com To be a good speaker, a student must have a
rich vocabulary. Otherwise, they won’t be
able to present in a timely manner and of
course, they won’t sound as great as you
want them to. PowerVocab is a game you
can give your students for some vocabulary
practice. Playing against the clock and others
will not only be a fun experience, but will also
prepare them for public speaking.

C. Using PowerPoint, keynote, or any digital media software, design your own digital media
software on the same topic you have chosen earlier. Use a separate sheet to place the title slide
of your software.

Technology Integration that Supports my Learning
Think of any topic that is related to languages. Think of how you wish to learn the selected topic-
what teaching strategies you prefer and what educational technology you think would be
effective in learning the topic. Then, assess whether the selected educational technology
supports your learning of the subject matter.
(With regards to this part, my chosen topic is Public Speaking.)

1. Name and describe the teaching strategy that would be effective for you to understand the
lesson better.
Answer: Speaking in public is an important skill throughout school and in life. Trying to master it
can trigger fear and anxiety in many students. Learning to talk confidently in front of an
audience, whether big or small, is something that will benefit your students throughout their
lives. In my opinion, the best teaching strategy about public speaking that would be the most
effective for me is that the teacher has the ability to foster a supportive environment with positive
feedback. As the instructor, it’s important for him/her to provide a good example for us students
by giving lots of encouragement and praise to students for trying their best. Speaking in front of
a group can be scary, but it’s easier if the group is kind and friendly. He/she should break the
ice with simple introductions. Building up students’ abilities to speak publicly starts with getting
them to simply talk to their classmates. They should ask students, like me, to write down our
names and to share something what we think is interesting about ourselves.

2. Describe how you wish the topic to be taught by the teacher.

Answer: For me, I want a teacher who can learn to adapt frequently, depending on the student
response. I also want a teacher who can use creative ways to present the lesson and
encourage learning. One of the greatest advantages of communicating in the classroom is that
you are well acquainted with your audience. Knowing the strengths and weaknesses of your
students can help you prepare your lesson in a way that can benefit students at different levels
of performance. If he/she have students who are from a different culture, he/she should be
considerate when giving examples, analogies and other related work.

3. Identify which technology can be used to support your learning of the subject matter.
Answer: Since my topic is all about Public Speaking, I will talk to my teacher and suggest that
we use Zoom. Students will love learning from each other and using this kind of connecting tool
can make public speaking much easier for them. When you gather friends to talk about the
same topics, they can learn from each other’s techniques, give each other public speaking tips,
prepare, and even compete for the next public speaking tournament. Free webinar tools such as
Zoom can make this possible in real time, combining web audio and screen sharing. It’s always
easier to ask feedback on your speaking performances to fellow students than to your mirror
reflection.
4. Describe how the technology should be integrated for effective learning.
Answer: The present essential and auxiliary students are very technically knowledgeable,
which is the reason carrying out innovation in the homeroom has turned into a significant center
(and at times a significant hindrance) for teachers. The students in your homeroom continually
use innovation to speak with one another and find out with regards to their general
surroundings. Incorporating innovation into the study hall sets out learning open doors that are
seriously captivating, and in some cases more viable, than conventional showing techniques
and standards.
Improvements in instructive innovation have worked with the shift toward student-centered
classrooms and dynamic venture-based learning. Students who are permitted to effectively
investigate genuine issues and difficulties secure a more profound comprehension of the
subjects they're concentrating than they would by basically perusing from a course reading.
Innovation helps transform students into wayfarers and agents who are better ready to draw in
with the themes you are introducing in the study hall.
Think about the sorts of innovation you and your students presently approach. How will you use
those resources for fabricate project-based learning into your exercise plans? In case you don't
know where to start, the best way I can personally think of is to utilize different digital
presentations. Tools like Prezi and Microsoft PowerPoint make it easy for students to create
multimedia presentations and share their work to the class. Google Docs has a similar program
that makes it easy for multiple students to collaborate on one multimedia project. With Google
Docs, students can even work on the project from their laptops or tablets when they are at
home. These collaborative tools make teamwork accessible and seamless, whether students
are using the technology in the classroom or at home. Not only that it is easy and effective, both
the teacher and the student will benefit from it.

APPLY
Evaluating Educational Technology
After learning the need of evaluating educational technology, answer briefly the questions
below.
1. Why is it important for teachers to evaluate educational technology and software prior to its
use, drink its usage and after its used in class instruction?
Answer: Evaluation of education technology is significant before, during, and after instruction
happens. Evaluation after guidance is a pivotal part of an exercise that successfully uses
innovation and computerized media. Educators can depend on an assortment of assets to
assist with assessing the suitability of instructive advancements.
These days, most schools and other areas have a gathering of individuals who assess
programming preceding making a buy. In any case, as far as I might be concerned, educators
ought to likewise have to evaluate programming prior to endeavoring to incorporate it in the
educational plan. It is always important to assess programming for content and age propriety.
This follows with the possibility of not allowing the innovation to drive the educational program,
yet letting your educational plan and learning targets drive the innovation. By evaluating
software, you will actually want to settle on better choices concerning what and how to
adequately incorporate a specific piece of programming.
