Reflection Essay on “Ang Mga Walang Pangalan”

I admire this poem. I find it very noble, strong

and well intentioned. As written in the poem not everyone that
participated in revolutionary or unconventional events are known. They
did not always receive fame, money or recognition; some even loses
their lives fighting for such causes but remained unknown. I felt sad and
a bit regretful knowing that not everything was written on history
books. I always read these books in a somewhat complicated mood, I
thought it was interesting but at the same time I was skeptical, as far as
I know not everything written there is accurate. There are probably a
lot of times when a person bathed in glory and described magnificently
are the textbook definition of disgusting and hypocritical. Reading this
poem I remembered a somewhat similar experience I had with a novel,
the author always dug deep into the biographies of supporting and
unusually irrelevant characters; in the later chapters I realized how
significant they actually were. They did something that seemed small
and unimportant but had such a big impact in the overall plot of the
story.
