ՆԱԽԴՆԻՐՆԵՐ

Անգլերենում նախդիրները ըստ կազմության լինում են՝ պարզ (in, on, at, for, with և այլն),
ածանցավոր՝ (behind, below, across, along և այլն), բարդ՝ (into, upon, throughout և այլն),
նկարագրական՝ (in front of, by means of, as for և այլն): Ըստ իմաստի նրանք բաժանվում են տեղ,
ուղղություն, ժամանակ և տարբեր վերացական հարաբերություններ ցույց տվող նախդիրներ:

 Մոտ
 Արտահայտում է հայերենի ներգործական հոլովի իմաստը՝ առարկայի որևէ տեղում
գտնվելը՝
Ex. There is somebody at the door.
Դռան մոտ ինչ-որ մեկը կա:

In

 Մեջ
Սովորաբար թարգմանվում է ներգոյական հոլովով:
Ex. He lives in London.
Նա ապրում է Լոնդոնում:
That was the village in which he was born.
Դա այն գյուղն էր, որտեղ նա ծնվել էր:
I read about it in the newspaper.
Ես լրագրում կարդացի այդ մասին:

 Վրա
Ex. The book is on the table.
 Գիրքը սեղանի վրա է:

Ex. There are some trees in front of the house.

Behind

 Հետևում
Ex. The boy was hiding behind a tree.
Տղան թաքնվել էր ծառի հետևում:

After

 Հետևից, հետո
Ex. Shut the door behind you, when you leave the room.

We use IN : In + a part of the day: In the morning (afternoon, evening) but: at night
In+ months, seasons, years: in June, In summer, in 2020

We use ON: on + a week day: On Monday evening

On + date: On 1st January, on 4th August

We use at: At +time of the day: At 2 o’clock, at lunchtime

At + weekends: At the weekend, at weekends
At + holiday periods: At Christmas, at Easter

MEET THE AYE-AYE

NICK: You are fond of animals, aren’t you, Ben?

BEN: Yes, I’m particularly interested in rare animals. Look at this picture of
the aye-aye.
NICK: It looks like something from outer space. What’s the purpose of such
long thin fingers? They look like twigs.
BEN: Well, the aye-aye is a rainforest animal. It eats insects which live
under the bark of trees. It is got very good ears. It is capable of hearing the
slightest sound. It puts its ear next to the bark of a tree and listens for signs
of movement. Then it quickly bites a hole in the bark and puts its middle
finger into the hole to pull out the insect. It also uses its middle finger for
combing its hair.
NICK: What else do you know about aye-ayes?
BEN: They live only in Madagascar. They sleep during the day and are
active at night. They often hang upside-down from branches. And the
strong claws on their feet are used as hooks.
NICK: I am surprised at how much you know. Why are they called aye-
ayes?
BEN: Because of the strange noises they make. They cry ‘aye! Aye!’ by
blowing through their noses. The island people are frightened of the noises
they make.
