AFTER Disassembly

CIRCUIT BOARD

The circuit board works like a pool through

which all commands go on to specific parts.

DC MOTOR

The motor is responsible for the speed and

turning motions of the toy.

POWER SUPPLY

a power supply is a device that converts

the output from an ac power line to a
steady dc output or multiple outputs.

WHEELS

A circular object that revolves on an axle and is

fixed below a vehicle or other object to enable it
to move easily over the ground.

COVER AND DESIGN

Useful to help prevent foreign objects from

getting into the chassis interior even when
running on sand and other tricky surfaces.

SCREWS

The most common uses of screws are to

hold objects together.

1) What does this device do? What parts make it work this way?

The purpose of this toy is to allow the user to control the speed and movement of
the car using a handheld device or a controller. The toy car has two motors, with the
black one representing acceleration and movement forward or backward. The green one
represents movement to the left or right.

2) How would you improve the way this device is made?

We can improve the device by changing the motor and power supply. It could affect the
speed of the toy, we will use a powerful motor engine that will withstand the voltage
output the battery.
3) How could you change this device to make it more cost effective to produce?
We will apply reverse engineering in this existing device. Since we already understand
the transformation that we’re going to apply to this to make it functional.
4) Can you redesign this device to make it function differently? How would you do this?
