Shooting script
Description of visuals
(1) Starts off with hand setting up the vinyl
disc and then the track starts to play once
spinning, it keeps spinning and spinning
until Ian has sat down, then it pans up to
him drinking a cup of tea.
Close up of him drinking his tea and then
placing it down
(1) Close up of the book (he has memories and
photos in with objects such as funky sunglasses
broken and stuck inside the book, also photos
which will be significant later on) and a hand
grabbing the book.
He slowly opens the book and a smile slowly
emerges on his face as he flicks through pages
slowly
An over the shoulder shot of the sunglasses
slowly zooms in and then film dissolves very
slowly into the start of a flashback, the opacity
is very clear and the flashback emerges slowly
(1) Mid shot of the girl placing the sunglasses
on the boy’s head which they find very amusing
Then a close up of the glasses and the boy
making funny faces with glasses the close up,
the girl is then shown laughing in an over the
shoulder shot, then the close up of the boy still
laughing is slowly zooming into one lens and
goes into black (2) and comes out of black from
the photobook slowly zooming out.
A mid shot of the main character smiling to
himself as maybe he is remembering them
times. He flicks another page same shot
Then a side shot of the book with a piece of
shoelaces stuck to it where it's unfocused and
then focuses a transition into.
(2) A close up of the shoes being tied up and
then when tied up the feet start to tap its starts
to flicker from opacity of a shoe in vintage
tapping and then old mans feet tapping at the
similar sort of pace.
(3) It then changes opacity back to the old
man's life and the shot then follows up his
body to him dancing slowly to a beat which will
end up being the same pace as however the
child actors dance.
Then a long shot is shown of the old man back
as he his dancing for a tiny bit and then he spins

second and look sad but happy at the same
time as if he has spotted a happy memory a
extreme close up of this photo from the
photobook is shown and its a photo of the
young dance partners looking happy and
celebrative the photo comes to life and
transitions
(5) A photo of them hugging and celebrating is
shown in a full body shot, then a close up of a
medal being put on the boy is shown, then the
same with the girl is shown, a mid shot of the
two celebrating with the trophy and gold
confetti possibly is shown, then a close up of
flowers is shown, comes back to the mid shot
but at a slight angle and the flowers are given
two the girl, (2) during this shot the opacity is
slowly increasing until you see similar flower
being handed by the old man to his daughter

An extreme long shot is shown with the girl
and old man walking in what seems like a
park/graveyard, a tracking shot is played
and then a shot behind a tree of the girl
and the old man walking to where his old
dance partner is a shot of the girl laying
the flowers and she places them on the
camera lenses for it to go black

- Need to get confirmation that it’s all good to do filming in the dance studio and also need
permission from parents to film the children

Suitability / shots for production (scene numbers)

- The suitability for shots and filming for my production is good although three of the walls
are mirrored I am limited to the amount of shots I can do however its possible and will
still look good, also the lighting is very nice for the dance studio and lastly it will be a good
spot to film for this production
- I will use a range of shots for the dance scene to make the production flashbacks work,
will cut to these shots 3 times in the music video

The lighting in the dance studio is very good, No solutions needed

there’s no natural lighting but the room is very
well light with warm lighting that doesn’t
interfere with the camera

The living room is a decent size so there is plenty of room for filming and getting the perfect shots
for the production. This will be the main location for the music video and will be used around 4
times in the music video to cut back to so this location is perfect for what I’m trying to achieve.
Suitability of this location is nice as I can add many different props to make it look like an older
person living room.

Lighting Information: Solutions:

I can either use natural lighting which is quite I will probably shut the blinds and use the dim
nice in this room however I think I will use the light to however I desire.

It’s a lovely spacious area with lots of lovely nature and is a nice place to go and film if it’s a sunny
day especially, lots of opportunity to get a perfect match cut and some good shots to end of the
music video. I will be doing a variety of shots including a match cut and will only have one scene
which is the ending scene

The lighting is all natural due to the whole place Make sure I pick a day that is suitable for the
being outside in the nature so lighting all vibe and mood I want for the production (clear
depends on the day, would preferably want to day)
