PART 1: APA (6 PTS.

Question 1:

APA, like any other referencing guide, requires 4 criteria that we need to follow in a
specific order. What are these requirements? Identify the four requirements in their
specific order and explain their significance. (1.5 pts)

1. Writer

In APA format, the author's name comes first. If the work calls for multiple voices, the author could be a

firm or a collective of individuals. It's crucial since it serves as both a means of identifying the work and

its legitimacy.

2. Date

Date is the second must-have for an APA citation. It is customary to only provide the year in brackets

after the period when citing a source. It's a measure of an article's significance and recent-ness.

3. Title

The title of the source is the most crucial part of a reference. It is dependent on the source as to how a title

is arranged (book, pdf, journal etc.) This is an exact illustration of the results the researcher anticipates the

author to find.

4. Reference

In a reference, the final piece is the origin of the data or information being used. Additionally, it

guarantees the credibility and reliability of the piece
