6. I choose those set of guidelines because the website is for creating a prototype or wireframe. The
ability to delete and undo is very important when it comes to creating prototype. Because their lot of
revision in the design. The user control is also important because it is an act of how to freely the user
when they are designing. And last is the layout, it very important that the layout is understandable and
it’s not hard to navigate the tools.

a. If you were going to develop an emergency mobile application, what HCI criteria and category

would you use as a guideline in the design and development of the application? Why?

- I will use the platform setup requirements guidelines. The criteria I will set is first the layout and design
of the app. It has a simple and quick to navigate the emergency button or call. Because it is very
important for the user that when they open the app, they will see first the emergency button. Also the
majority of people today use a mobile phone since it is convenient to use in an emergency situation and
is easy to operate.

b. If you were assigned to design and develop the interface of a learning management system for a

university, what HCI criteria and category would you use as a guideline in the design and

development of the application? Why?

- User type criteria and information categories because they are important guideline when designing
and developing the learning management system. The criteria I will use is first the UI is readable and not
to much fancy. Also the layout for the learning module. It need to focus on those criteria students
because they will use the LMS. In addition, the design need to be appealing for the students because
they might not like to open the LMS if the design is not good.

c. If you were developing the interactive interface of a video editing tool, what HCI criteria and

category would you use as a guideline in the design and development of the application? Why?

- For the criteria, I will use the application and the category is the designing and editing. It is
important to know the user the basic tools for the designing/editing for the video. It also need
to be simple to navigate the tools so that the user will not struggle finding the tools. The tabs
also need to minimize that the user will se fully the video editing process.
