VISION
Envision to be an innovative, focused, competitive and user-centered
library service to the endeavours of Luna Goco Colleges Inc. community
MISSION:
Provide a dynamic learning environment and quality user-centered
information services, that enhance teaching, learning and research while
inculcating life-long learning skills and fostering human development.
OBJECTIVES:
A. To select and acquire up-to-date information resources in all formats
that are relevant to the information needs of college.
B. To provide current library materials that support the academic
curriculum.
C. To educate and assist students and staff in the identification and
effective use of information resources.
D. To provide the students opportunities for independent learning.
E. To make closely with clients; know their needs and interest.
ACADEMIC COURSES GOALS

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NUTRITON & DIETETICS


The BSND promote the nutritional race for the wellness of the individual
in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultured settings; managed nutritional program
for individual, group and institution, food service in hospital and other setting
with economically viable activity, conduct a scientific study on food nutrition
and profession / career occupation for graduates.
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN PHARMACY
The BSPH is a four year of Bachelor Degree which provides a broad
spectrum of scientific fields’ principally in higher education institutions,
community drugs stores, hospitals, in government agencies, research
establishment, public health and pharmaceutical cosmetics, household
hazardous substances, drug delivery services & veterinary medicine.
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NURSING
The BSN Program aims to develop a professional nurse who is able to
assume entry-level positions in health facilities or community settings. The
professional nurse is capable of providing safe, humane, quality, and holistic
care to individuals in varying age, gender, and health-illness status; healthy or
at-risk families; population groups; and community; singly or in collaboration
with other health care providers, to promote health, prevent illness, restore
health, alleviate suffering, and provide end-of-life care.
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY
The main goal of the BSMT program is to produce globally competitive
medical technologists who can apply scientific principles and techniques to the
vital role that laboratory science plays in the healthcare system.
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGY
The BSRT is a 4-yr degree program that is specialized in producing
graduates who are competent in diagnostics and therapeutics and responsible
for provision of quality radiograph and the use of radiation, sound waves and
magnetism without sacrificing patient safety and welfare.
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN SOCIAL WORK
The BSSW Program prepares students for professional entry-level social
work practice. The curriculum builds on a firm liberal arts foundation to
develop a broad-based approached for understanding and working with people
in a variety of ways. Social work is an empowering profession.
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN CRIMINOLOGY
The field of Criminology is a study of crime and the various agencies of
justice as they operate and react to crime, criminals and victims. It is therefore
the mission of the Criminology Program to provide the community with
professionally competent and morally upright graduates who can deliver
efficient and effective services in crime prevention, crime detection and
investigation, law enforcement, and custody and rehabilitation of offenders,
among others.
BACHELOR OF ELEMENTARY EDUCATION
The BEED Program is designed to prepare professional teachers for
practice in primary and secondary schools in the Philippines. The design
features include various components that correspond to the basic specialized
knowledge and skills that will be needed by a practicing professional teacher:
foundational general education knowledge and skills, and professional and
ethical values, and subject matter knowledge appropriate to the level of
teaching.
MIDWIFERY
The MIDWIFERY Program is designed to prepare a safe, competent and
confident graduate midwife who is able to positively contribute to the health of
childbearing women and their families within this country/locality.

RULES AND REGULATIONS, FACILITIES AND SERVICES


The LGC Library
The LGC Library is an essential part of the school. The library
provides the students materials for instructional purposes and opportunities for
independent learning and thereby supporting the academic needs of the students.

RULES AND REGULATIONS


Apply for library privileges every beginning of the school year.
Requirement for library ID:

a. Certificate of Registration
b. Enrollment Receipt
c. 2 copies of recent ID picture (1x1)

Students should be able to follow the following rules in the use of the library.

1. The library is a place for quite reading and research.


 All library materials must be handled with care for these are
intended to serve many users.
 Anybody caught mutilating or vandalizing the materials shall be
dealt with according to the rules and discipline.
 Silence is to be observed inside the library. Idle conversation,
laughter, and other unnecessary noise must be avoided.
 Chatting is not allowed.
 Cellular phones should be in silent mode.
2. The library kept clean and orderly.
 Chairs are to be pulled out quietly and pushed to their places
before leaving.
 Scratch papers should be placed in wastepaper box.
 Eating, drinking and smoking are prohibited.
 All library users are expected to presents their things for
inspection to the librarian before leaving the library.
3. The Luna Goco Colleges students should be in prescribed school
uniform.
4. Library ID’s or School ID’s are required in borrowing library
materials.
 Library ID’s must be presented to the librarian before entering
the reading room. (No. ID, No entry)
 Library ID is required in borrowing books, and other references.
 Reserved books must be used inside the library for one hour.

 General references, Filipiniana, periodicals, clippings and local
materials must be used inside the library only.
 Books should be left at the table/at the control desk after use.
 Borrowed materials must be returned by the time they are due.
 The borrower of any library materials is responsible for it until
the materials has been returned.
 Reserve books may be brought home overnight or during noon
breaks after securing reservation slip.
 A book without a duplicate copy will not be given out for home
use or overnight use.
 Books for overnight use may be checked out at 4:30 pm. And to
be returned on the next day at 8:00 am (after 30 minutes will be
considered overdue)

5. LIBRARY SERVICE HOUR


 Monday – Saturday 8:00am – 5:00pm
 Noon Break 12:00am - 1:00pm
 Sunday-Closed

GENERAL LOAN POLICIES


The resources of the Luna Goco Colleges are at the disposal of:
 Board of trustees, Administrative officers, faculty members, and
employees of the Luna Goco Colleges Inc.;
 All students of Luna Goco Colleges Inc. registrar for the library
privileges and can present identification cards;
 Visiting users with referral letters
 School Id’s are required in borrowing library materials.
 Reserved books must be used inside the library for one (1) hour
and for home use overnight
 General references, clippings, periodicals, these and dissertations,
Filipiniana and local materials are for library use only.
 Outside reading, non-fiction may be borrowed for overnight use
only and Fiction may be borrowed for one (1) week.
 Non – print materials (globes, map, CD/DVDs, and CD/DVD
player, overhead projector and slide projector, LCD) are for used
within the college campus only.
 Loan services cease fifteen minutes before closing time.
 Lost books must be reported immediately to avoid accumulation of
fines. They are to replace by the same price by the same title. If the
book is not available at the local books store, it can be settled with
the same amount of the lost book.
