INTRODUCTION
Nekta is a company that deals with beekeeping and selling of honey. The company offers the
following services: Selling of beehives and associated accessories to bee farmers; Setting up
of the bee farmers; Offering of training on beekeeping; Buying of honey-products from
farmers for resale.
The company sells beekeeping accessories in three packages namely: single hive, mini
package and full packages as per the following descriptions: A single hive is one beehive and
its associated accessories for setting up. A mini package consists of six beehives, harvesting
accessories, beehive setting up and training for one person for one day.
A full package consists of twelve beehives and a honey extractor. It also includes training for
two people for one day and honey harvesting kit for two people.
PROBLEM DEFINITION.
The new Nekta Company, we are currently operating on a manual operating system which
poses the following limitations:
1 .Maintain records of bee farmers was a bit tricky because of many buyers and maintain
records of trainee famers it was tiresome, and also maintaining records of services rendered
and products sold by the company was time consuming.
2. Capture payments for each package and income from various sales was erroneous.
3. Generating appropriate reports was somehow hard and tiresome because there were a lot of
people buying.
Nekta is a company that deals with beekeeping and selling of honey. The company offers the
following services: Selling of beehives and associated accessories to bee farmers; Setting up
of the bee farmers; Offering of training on beekeeping; Buying of honey-products from
farmers for resale.
The company sells beekeeping accessories in three packages namely: single hive, mini
package and full packages as per the following descriptions: A single hive is one beehive and

accessories, beehive setting up and training for one person for one day.
A full package consists of twelve beehives and a honey extractor. It also includes training for
two people for one day and honey harvesting kit for two people.
The cost of single package costs Ksh 15000 par package, mini package goes for 12000 per
package and lastly full package goes for Ksh 190000.
Nekta Company offers other services like training at rate of Ksh 7000 per person, sale of
accessories at Ksh 2500 per unit, sales of honey harvesting kits at Ksh 600 per unit and sales
of honey extractor for Ksh 1300 per unit.
The farmers can sell the honey and bees’ product and sales below Ksh 20000 is paid in cash
while any sales exceeding Ksh 80000 are paid via electronic fund transfer.
The Company manually keeps records of bee farmers. Trainee farmers and services in a
physical file. The payments for packages and purchases are captured manually using a pen
and a book. The total sales, transport earnings and income from training are worked on
through use of calculator and records store in ledger book at the accounts clerk section.
SYSTEM STRUCRURE
Nekta Company being a system is made up different entities that make its operation possible.
The bee farmers who can seek training, sale honey to the honey bproducts. The company has
trainers who train bee farmers. It has accounts clerk who process the sales transactions and
purchases too.
DISADVANTAGES
1. It is only sold mostly where people use the honey therefore it is a must to construct the
company where there are customers or the company will gain lose.
2. It is expensive since it involves the employment of several personnel to help in
managing i.e records manager system, clerk/ accounts and general manager.
PROPOSED SYSTEM
The detail gets stored in the company database for easy retrieval and faster processing.
The proposed system will automatically generate the company’s report on daily,
weekly or monthly basis.
The transaction of payments and purchases will be automated in the proposed system
and therefore less error will be encountered.
FEASIBILITY STUDY
As a system analyst I accessed the system n the following ways.
TECHNICAL FEASIBILITY
The technology available is sufficient to be used in the proposed system and are readily
available in the market at affordable rate.
SCHEDULE FEASIBILITY
The development of this system will be accomplished within a period of 7month after which
the company will be able to implement the new system for management of its organization.
NO ACTIVITY DURATION
1 System Analysis 4Weeks
2 System Design 9Weeks
3 Coding and Testing 9Weeks
4 Documentation 8Weeks
5 Presentation 5Days
Total Duration 7Months
OPERATIONAL FEASIBILITY
The organization has accepted the incoming technology since it will make the transport
fraternity more organized than before.
ECONOMIC FEASIBILITY
The organization is comfortable with the proposed date base system provided the cost
benefits. This is shown as analyzed below.

III. Copy the Nekta mangement system into your computer so that it becomes a computer
software you can also copy it on the desktop for easy access.
e) From the switchboard in the database double click the switchboard to open the home
screen
a) Error message: the field cannot contain a null value because the required property is
saved to be true.
Solution: select the field before proceeding to the next record.
b) Error message: the value you entered isn’t valid for this field.
Solution: enter the correct data type.
RECOMMENDATIONS
I therefore recommend the school to:
I. Possibly buy scanning devices and bar-code devices as a means of capturing their
datas like the products which are brought..
II. The school have backup like the un-interruptible power supply to take care of the
power supply in order to give more time to save changes on the application in case of
power failure.
III. The school should come up with other security measures such as the biometric system
instead of using passwords in order to enhance the security of the new system.
CONCLUSION
This computerised system is helpful in that:
a) It is fast
b) It is reliable since the orders are delivered at the right time without any failures.
e) The system can also be managed from different sites other than the accounts clerk.
