AMD Ryzen 3 Specifications

AMD is an American multinational semiconductor company. This company develops computer
processors and computer based equipment. Some of them are flash memories, graphic
processors, motherboard chipset and so on.AMD Ryzen 3 is one of the best processor for
gaming with incredible performance and high power efficiency

3. Intel i9 Specifications
Intel Core i9 processors are the forefront of the “Skylake Architecture” which was announced in
2017. Intel credits this microarchitecture redesign for enhancing the the performance of the CPU
and the GPU as well as reducing the unwanted power consumptions
4. Design analysis
Intel core i9 processor has 8 cores which are equipped with intel’s hyperthreading ability. Each
core can handle 2 threads simultaneously - this means the i9 chip can manipulate upto 16
threads at a time. It has a 512 kB L1 cache, and
5. Comparison and conclusion
Base clock
In a CPU all the iterations are happen with a clock tick or clock cycle. This is a measure of
speed of the CPU .
Base clock is the clock frequency of the CPU when all cores are working in base level .This is
the minimum frequency that CPU support
Intel i9 family has a good base clock than AMD Ryzen 3 . This means in low and mid workloads
intel has better performances than AMD .

Boost clock
This us the top clock frequency that a single core can boost. If the work load is more higher we
need higher iteration frequency on that work to do it in a less time . That’s why architecture
allows CPU to boost its frequency . Normally at graphic rendering or gaming purposes the
process mostly use a single core . So it is better to have a good boost clock to achieve an
effective output .Intel i9 have a 5.0GHZ boost clock .So it is more higher than AMD. That mean
intel i9 can achieve good efficiency than AMD at higher workloads.

Cores and threads

This is the brain of the CPU. It is where receive instructions , do calculations and other stuff .
CPU can have more cores . (Multicore architecture)These cores can work separately from each
other and do parallel operations on Cache.
Virtual component that is places to manage the task is called Thread. They are parallel
components.
CPU perform well at many distinct heavy workloads if the number of cores getting higher.
Number of Threads are very useful on high workloads specially video rendering. Intel i9 has 8
cores and 16 threads while AMD has 4 cores and 8 threads. So intel i9 have a good workload
management than AMD.

TDP
Thermal Design power (TDP) is the power consumption of a CPU under the maximum
theoretical power . This value stands for thermal management of the system as well as the
efficiency of the CPU. AMD has 65w TDP and intel has 95w TDP values . This means Intel i9
use more power than AMD .This is specially useful for workstations and laptops in according to
manage their battery life and electricity bills.

Semiconductor size
Intel core i9 uses the 14nm lithography process for their design while AMD Ryzen 3 uses 12nm
lithography process . This is very helpful in power consumption because larger the chip means
larger power consumption. And also AMD use special system called chiplet technology. Here
they manufacture cores as separate units . So if consumer need 6 cores, AMD can disable 2
cores from a 8 core chip .This will enable AMD to reach many price cuts than intel.
