Class Policies and Reminders 2Q 22-23 1
Important – These class policies and reminders are applicable only in this course and section that is
being handled by Mr. Neil Edwin Yuzon
A. General Reminders:
1. Read, understand, and follow the Academic Integrity Policy of Mapua University. It can be found in
Module 0. It provides that academic dishonesty shall be dealt with accordingly.
2. All assessments should be passed thru the submission button in Blackboard. Do not pass late activities in
the Blackboard Course Messages, MS Teams, class GC, or any other platform (not unless you were
specifically instructed to do so).
3. Students are highly encouraged to have a copy of the recommended textbook for the course (if there is
any).
4. Attend the grade consultation on the last day of the term or any day that was assigned for that purpose.
5. Be a member of the class Group Chat (if there is any). Use the class Group Chat for academic concerns.
6. Use appropriate profile picture in the online platform. Avoid using the picture of another individual, or
anime character, or animals, and the like.
7. Respect each other’s opinion during discussions, recitations and the like.
8. Use the Blackboard Course Messages for private, sensitive, or personal messages.
9. Students are highly expected to read, understand, and clarify if necessary, the documents (e.g. Academic
Integrity Policy, the Modular System, Grade of “0”, Syllabus for the course, Class Policies and Reminders,
etc.) contained in Module 0.
10. Other policies concerning the course that may be promulgated by the teacher from time-to-time will be
made know to the students.
11. When submitting an assessment, always observe double, spacing except in the list of references. Use the
APA 7th edition for the references.
D. Attendance:
23. The checking of attendance begins on the first day of the quarter.
24. Attendance will be checked within the first 10 minutes of the meeting.
25. Open the Zoom on time and leave the Zoom meeting on time or when dismissed by the professor.
26. ABS will be given to students who will be absent in all the synchronous meetings. ABS will automatically
receive a 5.00 in the Final Grade.
27. Error in the attendance record must be reported immediately to the teacher for rectification. Attendance
record that was not reported for rectification, after one week that a student has started reporting, may
not be rectified anymore.
28. The teacher reserves the right to devise another way of checking the attendance. It may be in the form of
an activity instead of the usual roll call.
29. Change your name in Zoom so that you can easily be identified. Use this format: SECTION-SURNAME,
FIRST NAME. (Note: All in capital letters)
