I take pleasure in recommending Mr. Kartikey Singh, whom I rate as one of the most brilliant students I
have had during the last decade. I was an instructor for four of his core discipline courses viz. Surveying,
Highway Engineering, Soil Mechanics and Foundations Engineering, wherein his performance was found
to be excellent. I found him to be quite interactive in the class and focused in learning the things in true
perspective. I had an opportunity of observing him from close quarters during the time I taught him and
found his communication skills to be extremely good, both in written and spoken forms.

He has particularly demonstrated his caliber during his 16 credit thesis on “Partial Impregnation of
Bitumen Emulsion in Porous Concrete” which he has carried out under my supervision. His performance
during his thesis was rated excellent by the examiners too. Looking at his active participation in various
clubs and activities at BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus, I found him to be a very passionate contributor. His
dynamic participation as a volunteer teacher for Impact foundation, team leader of department of
hospitality of college Student union, member of mathematics and economics association of College; were
found to be noteworthy.

Mr. Kartikey is blessed with very impressive interpersonal skills and is a natural leader with the capability
of handling the complex situations with ease. He has good intellectual maturity and always amicable. With
all these qualities, I can say that Mr. Kartikey will be an asset, as a student, a scholar or as an employee
and I don’t have any hesitation in recommending his candidature at your esteemed university with full
