Project: Construction of new restaurant in Aviation Campus - Canadore
College
1. Covering page: including students name / company name (.5 mark)
2. Content table (.5 mark)
3. Project introduction The address of the site is: Aviation Campus – 55 Aviation Av,
North Bay ON. (1 marks)
4. Set of the drawings (.5 mark)
5. A project manager PM represent Canadore College should be assigned and named.
(.5 mark)
6. Create project life cycle considering the restaurant will be operated by a third party
(client) (3 marks)
7. Project charter should be created in the Initiation stage. (5 marks)
8. A construction company must be formed from scratch and construction project
manager CPM should be selected. (2 marks)
This construction company has a new project to be executed: Restaurant
project must be constructed from the foundation (not renovation) as per the attached
warehouse drawings. No existing building to be demolished.
9. This term project should have a term project manager TPM and to be chosen from
the team and by the team, this TPM must act as project manager to manage the term
project: distributing the work between the team – follow up with the team and with me
– conduct several meetings (at least 5 meetings reports should be attached),
communicate with me for any issues or clarification. (1 marks)
10. New Construction Company SWOT analysis created (by CPM) (4 marks)
11. Stakeholders Management should be created by CPM construction project manager
(your construction company):
a. Stakeholder Register (2 marks)
b. Stakeholders’ analysis matrix with initial (2 marks)
c. Stakeholder’s engagement assessment (2 marks)
d. Stakeholders’ management strategies (2 marks)
12. Create Project Organization chart: should be for only the project team (not the
company) along with the responsibility matrix. (4 marks)
13. The suggested project team must act as a main contractor company to execute the
project. The work package can be executed by the in-house resources or awarded to
a subcontractor partially or complete work package.

15. Scope Management: by PM – Project WBS / activities will be provided
a. Create project Scope of the construction phase (4 marks)
b. Create WBS, WBS owners, and WBS code (4 marks)
c. Create Activities of the project, Quantity and budget should be created (quantity
and price could be imaginary one for education purpose) (4 marks)
16. Total budget should be clearly defined including direct and indirect cost by CPM (4
marks)
17. Time / schedule management by CPM
a. Create project activities table to be used for constructing the schedule (6
marks)
b. Create project schedule using Excel (like the in-class assignment) (10 marks)
c. Create imaginary status report / table which should be used to conduct EVA (4
marks)
18. Risk Management: Construction company project risk threshold .25
a. Create project risks register by CPM including Cause – Event – Effect – Risk
owner – risk score (4 marks)
b. Create Risk response ( 4 marks)
19. Create site templates: by CPM
a. Daily project site meeting (1marks)
b. Progress monthly meeting with client (1 marks)
20. Attach all weekly meetings to your report which conducted by TPM (at least 5
meetings (2 marks)
21. References (.5 mark)
22. Create Power points covering your project: 15 slides maximum.
a. the power point (10 marks)
b. presentation (5marks)
23. Submission should be on exact date of the submission deadline (please refer to the
instructional plan for the course) Any submission after this time / date will be ignored
unless a proper early communication has been documented between me and the
student to obtain approval for late submission, and it is subject to deduction based on
the delay amount
24. A soft copy should be dropped into Project Dropping box.
25. Use Arial or Calibri font, size 12.
26. Line spacing 1.5
27. Please maintain the neatness and table headline in all tables, also follow the
sequence of the report as per the above (2 marks)
