IV. PROCEDURE
A. Introduction I. PRE-ASSESSMENT
Observe the two first pictures and understand how they
are related. Find the picture in the given options that is
related to the third picture in the same way as the two
first pictures are related. Choose the answer that
completes the analogy.

II. Motivation
What comes first into your mind when you hear the
word “relationship”?
B. Development Presentation
Present the different types of analogy.
1. Synonyms are words possessing the same meaning.
2. Antonyms are words opposite to each other in terms
of meaning.
3. Part and whole is the relationship between things
and their parts.
4. Object/Purpose/Function shows what a certain
object is for or explains its use.
5. Characteristics are mostly comprise of descriptions
of items.
6. Cause and Effect shows one word is the source of
some action and the other word is the result or
consequence.
7. Location/Place shows objects that are designated
to their most logical location.
8. Tool/Worker shows a relationship between a
particular tool and the person of that particular
profession who uses that tool.

Let the students analyze each type.

-A student will try to give his/her own example.
