Why did you choose this story?

-I choose this because the moral of "The fisherman and his wife" is that every person should be

grateful for what he has instead of always wanting more, otherwise he will never be satisfied. Those
who

do not appreciate the little things are unlikely to appreciate the big things and are doomed to a life

without joy.

Characters

-The characters are the fisherman, his greedy wife, and the fish.

Plot

-A fisherman and his wife live in a pigsty, close by the seaside .While the fisherman was fishing

and he caught a fish who informed him that he was no ordinary fish but rather an enchanted prince. So

the fisherman re-entered the water and returned to his pigsty house. The enchanted fish was
mentioned
by the fisherman to his wife. She told him she wanted to live in a cottage, so the fisherman informed the

fish who gave them a cottage. When the wife requested a palace, the fish gave them and the fish made

the wife a queen because she asked to be one. The wife desired to be an emperor, so the fish made her

an emperor. Then the wife aspired to be a pope, the fish made her into a pope. The wife desired to be

the lord of the sun and moon, so the fish turned her to be the God. And every time the fishermen make

a wish to the fish the color of the water is changing.

Sequence

-It started at the pigsty house close by the seaside.

Conflict

-The conflict in the story is that when the fisherman found an enchanted prince fish and he told

him to his wife then the conflict started when every time her wife make a wish to an enchanted prince

fish.

Theme

-The theme of the story is that all of us must not be a greedy be content with what you have and

don't wish for what you do not own.

Application in real life and to self

-In real life, sometimes I’m greedy person because greed could be the only thing that saves me. I

know that some people don’t believe me. Greed was the foundation of our country; the brave souls who

risked their lives to settle in a new country did so for personal gain. Greed is beneficial not only to one's

own life but also to the lives of others by elevating our life, we can dramatically improve the lives of our
family, community, and even the entire world. All we have to do is become greedy. We must
concentrate

so hard on what we want that it seeps out of every pore in your body. And according to Louise Hay, “I

forgive myself for not being perfect. I am living the very best way I know how”.
