MID TEST ENGLISH

Name : Reyhan Oliviera Panduwinata

Class : TOLI5
NIM : 2003411006

Fill in the blanks.

1. are we in the right place?
2. Where does she lives?
3. The news is interesting.
4. He is at work.

2. Choose the right pronoun to correctly finish this sentence.

1. Lewis, Luke and Thomas were cross because C. They had waited ages
for the bus.
2. I can't find A. It anywhere.
3. There is a message for D. You on the pad.
4. It might A. Destroy our plans.

3. Choose the correct sentence.

1. a) Harry lived in a big modern
house.
2. a) Pete comes from England.
3. b) Jhon is wearing a hat.
4. a) Are you able to speak English
4. a) Oscilloscope

The main function of the oscilloscope is to Projecting electrical signals and frequencies into
graphic image form to then be displayed as a visual electrical image
-Measuring the number of frequencies and waves
-To determine the waveform of a voltage.
-To analyze waves and other phenomena in an electronic circuit.
-To view and read the amplitude, voltage, period and frequency of an unknown signal.
-To measure the change in flow (phase) of the input signal.
-To find out the phase difference between two signals
-Measuring AC/DC frequency and voltage

b. Current Transformator

Transformator can change the level of one AC voltage to another voltage level. Examples of
changes such as lowering the AC voltage from 220VAC to 12VAC or increasing the voltage
from 110VAC to 220VAC.
The transformer operates following the principle of Electromagnetic Induction and can only
function on AC voltage (alternating current)
The CT transformer has 2 times more turns than the non- CT transformer. CT transformers are
commonly used to make full-wave symmetrical power supply circuits as are mostly used for
today's amplifiers that use positive, neutral, and negative poles.

c. Induction Motor 3 Phase

as a machine that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. The process of converting
this energy by utilizing an electric field coupling and having a slip between the stator and rotor
fields. We can find this type of 3phase induction motor in industrial equipment such as pumps,
conveyor belts, compressors and others. a motor that works by utilizing the phase difference at
the source to cause a rotating force on the rotor. The phase difference in a 3 phase motor is
obtained directly from the source. This is the difference between a single-phase motor and a 3-
phase motor.
An induction motor or asynchronous motor is an AC electric motor in which the electric current
in the rotor needed to produce torque is obtained by electromagnetic induction from the magnetic
field of the stator winding.
An induction motor can be used as an induction generator, or it can be unrolled to form a linear
induction motor which can directly generate linear motion. The generating mode for induction
motors is complicated by the need to excite the rotor, which begins with only residual
magnetization.

D. Power Supply DC

DC power supply is an adapter that has a DC current output.

The function of the DC power supply is to provide an electric current voltage with a fixed
polarity, namely positive and negative as a load. Consists of two types, namely: Linear
regulator. As a DC voltage converter that changes to be stable and lowers the DC input voltage.
to supply electric current to components or hardware on the computer with DC current (direct
current), the electric current that enters the power supply is in the form of AC current (alternating
current) and then converted (converted) into DC current (direct current).then is it supplied to the
electronic components in the computer case such as the motherboard, fan, cd room, hard drive
and so on.

5.

from the picture On the left is the electrical network system from the center to the consumer, the
picture on the right is the human circulation system. The correlation of the two images is that if
there is a problem at one point, it will be fatal to the whole because everything is connected to
each other, if there is a problem from the center everything will be affected
