The Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS) is a key technology for
successful energy management. The sensor measures the
current, voltage resistance, and temperature directly at the
battery. This data is the input for the advanced battery
algorithms, which provide:
→→ State of Charge (SoC)
→→ State of Health (SoH)
→→ State of Function (SoF) of the battery

With this information a stop/start function for the combustion

engine and an intelligent alternator control can be achieved
to reduce CO2 emissions. Furthermore, this sensor can help
reducing the risk of a breakdown due to a weak battery. The
mechanical design is characterized by a cost-effective, compact
design, with maximum flexibility for different cable variants
and intergration solutions. Advanced battery algorithms support
a very high variety of different battery types, a which provide
a very cost-effective integration into the vehicle.
