❖ Learn and sing 10 Alankars on rhythm.

❖ Learn C Major scale and finger positioning of notes.
❖ Learn and sing Aalaaps of 10 Alankars.
❖ Learn about the process and techniques of doing
Riyaz in Indian Classical Music.

LEARNING UNIT PLAN
The teacher will start the class by introducing them about Musical instruments. Paste the
He will teach the definition of a musical instrument and tell the difference pictures of few
between sounds of different sound producing devices and that of musical musical
instruments. He will tell them about 15-20 instruments with pictures and make instruments.
Lesson 1 them identify the instruments by hearing their sounds. After that the teacher

the students about types of Guitars and their differences. He will teach students
about the body parts of Guitar and will tell them the basics of the process to play
it like positioning of fingers while playing , positioning of fingers to hold plectrum
etc.

Outcomes At the end of this week, students will be able to…
 Learn and remember the lyrics of the song “Bachhe man ke sachhe”.
 Learn the remember the tune of the song.
 Prepare the song for group performance.
 Sing the song on the rhythm with rhythm accuracy.
 Learn the technicalities of Group singing like chorus singing, voice co-ordination and
dynamics.

for them to sing and then he will make students sing the song in the group
breaking down the lyrics into parts. After then, he will make students sing the full
song on and telling them the technicalities of group singing in between and then
giving a finishing touch to the song in the last.

 Learn some basic finger exercises on piano.
 Learn the structure of the keys of the piano.
 Learn to play C Major scale on the piano.
 Learn the finger positions of the notes in C major scale.
 Learn the body parts of the musical keyboard.
