COURSE OUTCOMES At the end of the course, the students should be able to:

Knowledge
1. Demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of arts in the elementary including their functions, value and historical significance.
2. Show an understanding of the elements and principles of art in creating concepts for art related activities using traditional and new technologies.
3. Deepen the understanding of the nature of Philippine art. as influenced by the different periods.
4. Analyze/ appraise/ appreciate works of art in the Philippines based on aesthetic value and social relevance.

Skills
1. Create art products using different art processes with the use of traditional and new technologies.
2. Demonstrate the skills in lay outing/ editing/ cartooning/ using new technologies (software and hardware).
3. Show appreciation of the traditions/ culture/ and history of the various movements in the Philippines through varied art products.
4. Evaluate the effectiveness of artworks through the utilization and creative combination of art elements.

COURSE PREREQUISITE

COURSE DESCRIPTION This course shall equip the pre-service teachers with technological, pedagogical and content knowledge to have an adequate skill necessary to teach art
effectively to diverse learners. In this course, elements in arts which form part of the curriculum content of Art Education, the appropriate teaching strategies
and assessment methods will be given emphasis. Carrying out art education activities and experiences, skill and artistry in teaching, finding and utilizing
appropriate art resources, planning and teaching a lesson to an entire class shall form part of the Authentic and experiential activities of the course.
