FIRE ALARM

In every light source it emits various ranges of waves in electromagnetic spectrum. In this project
by using IR we detect the light belongs to IR range.

WORKING

The circuit is simply a voltage comparator, which compares the voltage at pin3 and pin2 of IC
U1. D1 is the IR led which has high resistance at normal condition and will decrease while ir rays falls.
During fire it also radiates ir rays and so resistance across ir led become vary. As a result the comparator
get lose input voltage balance and output become high and so the buzzer get alert. The circuit is capable
to detect fire from match box with in 30cm and based on intensity of fire the distance also vary.
