SKD-Semi Knocked Down

During the international trade process, especially the international motor cycle trading business, the
exporter separates the goods and exports the product by SKD. Here in SKD type the parts are not
knocked down completely, instead partially knocked down. It is also called an incompletely
disassembled kit. Partially disassembled parts of motor cycle.

CKD-Complete Knocked Down

CKD (Completely Knocked Down) would mean that certain parts of the motor cycle are shipped to the
country of sale where they will be assembled to form a complete bike. Fully disassembled item after
manufacturing that is to be assembled by the consumer or the reseller. Goods are shipped in CKD form to
reduce transportation charge on the basis of the space occupied by (volume of) the item.
