Abstracts of researches in refereed journal


Refereed journals often have a formal appearance with tables, graphs, and
diagrams. Usually have an abstract summary paragraph above the text and have
sections that describe methodology. Language includes specialized terms and the
jargon of the discipline. It contains original research, experimentation, or in-depth
studies in the field. And it is often reviewed by the author’s peers before publication.

Social learning takes place through observation within a community. In diverse
urban landscapes and through digital media, social learning may be qualitatively
different from the social learning that takes place within families and tightly knit
social circles. This study examines the differences between social learning that takes
place in the home versus social earning that takes place with equal efficacy. These
results show that social learning does not just take place within social circles.

Few studies have examined the connection between visual imagery and
emotional reactions to news media consumptions. This study addresses the gab in
the literature via use of content analysis. Content analysis methods were used to
analyse five news media television sites over the course of six months. Using the
Yolanda Metrics method, the researchers ascertained ten main words throughout
each of the news media sites. Implications and suggestions for future research are
included.

 The form of writing is both formal and serious, both also abides to a
predetermined set of rules.
 Slang words or jargons must not be used in both technical and academic
writing.
5-7. What are the three elements of technical writing?
 Production, Content, and Format.
8-10. What is the purpose of technical writing?
 Technical writing aims to explain how a product or service operate and
conveys technical information such as engineering and science in a form of a
process, with the main goal of giving readers complex information in a way
that they can apply and understand.
11-15. How can you avoid bad technical writing?
 As a writer, one must ensure that facts are properly and clearly written and
executed and is based on the goals intended to be conveyed to the readers.
The facts must be clear and concise, in accordance with the rules of writing a
technical essay. One must also remember to follow the three elements of
technical writing which is production, content, and format.
16-20. How did technical writing start?
 Language started long before biblical history was created, the discovery of
human writings on caves in form of images was discovered which is estimated
to be 30,000 years old. Ancient texts carved in stone tablets in the cuneiform
period. Scrolls of the Hebrews, Greek and Latin, as well as the Medieval
Manuscript Manual to the discovery of printing press and soon after technical
innovations emerged and the rise of digital age became the epitome of
literature in 1940 and the rise technical writing was established, writing a user
manual for a computer he developed Joseph Chapline created the first piece
of technical writing.
21-25. Are slangs and jargons important in both types of writing? Explain
 No, slangs and jargons are prohibited in writing both technical and academic
writing due to the fact that both must follow a specific set of guidelines and
the tone of writing in both technical and academic writing is serious and
formal.
25-30. What are the social impacts of printing press and computers?
 Printing press basically started the digital age; it was invented to mass
produce newspapers and was the invention of the century which brought
many other inventions in terms of technology and literature. Computers were
introduced and sparked the epitome of the digital age, which made literature
blossom with the use of prints and software. These inventions greatly
impacted society’s form of literature and changed the lives of people to make a
very complicated task a lot easier with the use of prints and computers.
